Even within this district it is divided into many other district. I grew up in the LAUSD district and it encapsulated schools up to a 20 mile radius.

This makes me think about how there is power in numbers no matter the cause. Especially for people of color it can feel very isolating that there is not enough support, but when we realize that we are all in this fight together we can see that we are actually the majority.

This reminds me of the documentary we watched "Precious Knowledge" (2012) and how there was an about 90% increase in graduation rates. This is important because we begin to shift from schooling to actual education and learning.

This makes me think about how even though some individuals will have ethnic studies degrees, will the representation of their own ethnicity be taken into consideration. For example, having White teachers teach ethnic studies versus a Central American teacher teaching ethnic studies. Im wondering how this will be followed through ?

What becomes the point of reforming the police when it will only require more spending? $10 billion dollars are being spent to "reform" the police, this should hurt the government and their budget that they need to spend that much. If your phone was broken and you needed to fix it you would try to "reform" it . But the moment you need to fix it again, you would simply grasp that it is broken. It is not fixable and there would be no point to spend money to "fix it" again and again. You would just get a new one. I feel if we were to see it this way, things would be very different.
