      This study reminds me of the metaphor created by the philosopher Foucault about the panopticon and human behavior and how hospitals have transformed to become a place where behavior is highly regulated and monitored.

      I feel like putting these two actions on the same plane, or under the same category of deviance is very generalizing and kind of confuses me as to what exactly the author means by deviant behaviors because they are two completely different experiences/actions. Especially taking into consideration that one is typically voluntary while the other is involuntary.
