two inscribed Egyptian-style statues of Arsinoe II provide positive evidencefor this new mode of representation
This would be good to put in the blog post author is saying how we should interpret the statues (=primary evidence)

temple of Khonsu at Karnak
made in antiquity so primary evidence but author does not discuss much seems more of an illustration
Background
Perhaps we could have more on Pontus as a kingdom itself?
This seems all about one guy? What about the kingdom as a whole?

Here's another one!
No color pics?
Source?
Images should be cited. How do we know if this one is realistic?
This unit needs a lot of work.
These ancient traditions of Alexander are rooted in the contradictory and multifarious strands in which his achievements were retold and repurposed, even within his own lifetime.
Should we write a question about this for the study guide?
What makes AlexanderGreat?
Good rhetorical question as opener!

MODERN SCHOLARS
What modern scholars are meant? Vague!
His funeral, in spite of the time that had elapsed since his death, was carried out as follows. In the Roman Forum a wooden platform was constructed hard by the marble rostra, upon which p169 was set a shrine, without walls, but surrounded by columns, cunningly wrought of both ivory and gold. 3 In it there was placed a bier of the same materials, surrounded by heads of both land and sea animals and adorned with coverlets of purple and gold. Upon this rested an effigy of Pertinax in wax, laid out in triumphal garb; and a comely youth was keeping the flies away from it with peacock feathers, as though it were really a person sleeping.
Wow this reminds me of that funeral passage Prof. Yarrow read out in class.
There will be lots of annotations here from BC CLAS 3209!
Maureen O’Hara '78, endowed a fund enabling bright Brooklyn College students to take advantage of unpaid internships.
How interesting!
More objects could be added.
Discussion could be edited and refined. More passages could be added.
This page is rather all over the place.... Because it is not immediately obvious what should be counted as a Scythian coin... Could you write an introduction (informed by research using scholarly sources on OneSearch) that contextualizes what Scythian Numismatics might include or not include?
Needs little to know work. Perhaps light editing or refining of questions? Are there some that seem less relevant? Could you substitute in some new better questions?
Could be edited and expanded.
Some of this material could be integrated into the homepage.
Selections are good, but they need more discussion. More passages could be added.
More images and more indepth text needed.
Are there newer readings that might be better to assign? OR, study guide questions could be expanded.
Expand to use and include references to library resources (Brill's New Pauly, Oxford Reference)
Lots of great pictures, but some are hard to see and need cropping or resizing, AND needs text, discussion and citations!
You could consider adding more objects to this page using those already here as a model.
A great page. If you want to expand, you could consider adding a section about what we do and do not know so far about the Meroitic language. You could also add an introduction about the most common types of Meroitic inscriptions.
Perhaps images and information could be integrated into home page?
Can you find a reading by a Sudanese scholar that would be appropriate to assign to students? Study guide questions need expansion regardless.
The text could be expanded and more relevant images with captions are needed. References to College Library resources (Brill's New Pauly, Oxford Reference) would also improve this page.
More images of landscape could be integrated.
Only needs minor edits or possibly the addition of more coins.
Expand page to talk about KINGDOM of PONTUS not just Mithridates VI. Remove illustrations and replace with images of more historical value. Expand references using college library resources (Oxford reference, Brill's New Pauly).
Martinez-Sève
Is Martinez-Sève's article student friendly? Could a better (more introductory) reading assignment be found on OneSearch? Martinez-Sève's article might make the great basis for a supplemental page.
Areas for improvement: integration and citation of information and resources found in College Library resources (e.g. Brill's New Pauly and Oxford Reference). Connect text and images. Coins could be separated out into their own coin page and further information added. Consider using OneSearch to look for scholarly information on Bactrian Coinage.
There are lots of questions here but it might be possible to write better questions that are better able to aid reader comprehension.
This page could be reworked, esp. text. Consider using OneSearch to find scholarship on Parthian coinage.
This page could be expanded and improved in both text and images. Sources need citation.
Areas for Improvement: expand sources, edit text, rewrite section "Unique Culture of Parthia", integrate images and text, consider writing study guide questions for Invernizzi or selecting different readings.
Good images, insufficient text!
This page could be completely re done: consider using OneSearch to find relevant scholarship on Nabatean coinage.
Areas for improvement: Expand! More sources! Need lots of work. Most importantly study guides need to be written and the choice of readings carefully considered.
This page needs lots of work! It would be a great one to improve. The maps are good but they need to be cropped and given accompanying text and discussion.
Areas for improvement: Edit/Re-write/expand interpretative text accompanying existing quotes. Add additional passages covering a greater diversity of subjects.
Areas for improvement: Expand discussion of each coin focusing on historical context and how the specific coin type might be good historical evidence. Hint: use OneSearch to find more information on Carthaginian Coinage. Remember key words might be Carthage, Punic, Coins, Numismatics etc...
Areas for improvement: write new introductory text explaining basics about Carthage, beyond engineering and conflict with Rome. Expand sources. Decide if there might be better, more accessible readings (or different selections from the same books). Make questions more relevant.
Note: the Cothon AND/OR a Tophet might be a good subject for its own supplemental page based on a peer reviewed journal article found using OneSearch.
Yiğma Tepe might be a good site as the subject of its own supplemental page if one found an peer review article focused on it.
Areas for Improvement: add one coin and discussion of all coins to help reader understand historical significance. Consider using OneSearch to find more information on Attalid Coinage.
Areas for improvement: MORE questions, few questions about the same subject
Areas for improvement: Captions for images, More Classics specific sources (Oxford Reference, Brill's New Pauly) AND expansion of intro text.
