The second and larger set of losses, totaling tens of billions, will come from property damage.
The damage to property could produce more work for local contractors, architects, etc that can start to boost their economy and help Texas out of this mess.
The fund needs two-thirds approval from the Texas Legislature to pass disaster relief, but they’re not in session now and aren’t due to meet again until January 2019
It seems highly unlikely that Texas will be providing this money towards Hurricane Harvey if they are going to meet each other again in a year and a half.
"We need to pass in this month of September a DREAM Act, a permanent law in this country, that says these young people will have their chance to become part of America's future."
DACA should have been made to help the dreamers become citizens in the first place instead of just having them wait like sitting ducks for something like this to happen.
He said DACA "denied jobs to hundreds of thousands of Americans by allowing those same illegal aliens to take those jobs."
DACA did not give these people jobs or hand them out like candy. They earned those jobs and did not take them away from hundreds of thousands of Americans. Them trying to have a normal, healthy lifestyle like every other person in the country is not a crime.
