    1. “What do you mean?” Will asked.“Don’t get smart, boy,” Sam said

He was asking a clarifying question. I didn't understand what sam meant ethir. This is rediculous

    2. The smoke floated up toward Will’s face. It came up in front of his eyes and nose and hung there, then it danced and played around his face, and disappeared.

This reminds me of the resurants where mobs would come and torment people of color and allies by blowing smoke in their face. This is so disrespectful and it makes me so mad.

    3. “You happy here?”“Yes, sir.”“You got nothing against the ways things go around here?”“No, sir.”“Can you read?”“Yes, sir.”“Are you smart?”“No, sir.”“Where did you get that suit?”“New York.”

It makes me to angry to see a white man just walk in and how no trouble but when a person of color comes to do the exact same thing he is met with agression and a full on interogation

    4. “You sure? You sure that’s what he said, Sam?” Still not looking up. “You sure? You better ask him again, Sam.”

This is a great example of indirect rascism. Although Charlie is not yelling slurs he still questions Will's intentions based on the color of his skin.
