You never realize how much you say "good job" until you are actually being mindful of it.. there are so many better, more personal and meaningful things to say!!

"Children are competent and capable" and we should treat them as such!!! I strongly believe in this!

This reminds me of the video of the journey of life from last week.... always getting "ready" for the next thing rather than enjoying life as it is.

All children learn at different paces and by different ways. General benchmarks seem okay to me but they definitely don't fit "all children within that age group"
