      Given that almost two centuries later we are facing a similar but more extreme issue, I wonder if it would be helpful to look back on the concerns about information growth when the field was in it's infancy. I think it could be good to evaluate what these vintage concerns were and how they were addressed and/or alleviated back then, in order to both soothe current anxieties (by having a cultural context to compare to) and also to aid Information professionals in deciding how the field should react and adapt to rapid change in the output of information.

      Reminds me of a tweet I saw from one of the US senators that was stating that it should be mandated 50% of university professors align conservative :/
