    1. male bias that satu-rates the standards themselves

I agree with the author here in why sex-neutral wage policies do not fully tackle the issue of pay discrimination. Even if we remove all the gender bias, the standard is still from the male perspective which stems from the norms we have created throughout society.

    2. against domination

Rights are being used here in a similar way Evangelicals have began to use them with the fight against abortion. Instead of seeking to be the majority and acquiring dominance, they are seeking personal protection of their rights.

    3. "Unlike many union bargaining demands, comparable worth is an ideological issue as well as an economic one.

This reminds me of the idea of "moral majority" and how for hundreds of year, men were the majority of society so their morals were so prominent. Women have to convince society that their work is of equal work as men's.

    1. “ culture war.”

This reminds me of customs and norms. In the United States where our social solidarity is very organic, it makes sense that we have this "war" on who's morals and norms are the correct ones to follow. It is interesting to think about how religious communities are turning away from the idea that they should have laws that reflect their society's morals to embracing individual rights.

    2. supportive of political liberalism, though they continue to reject many items of expressive individualism

I think this just shows how hypocritical laws and the way we reason certain things can be. It doesn't seem logical that one can support liberalism and then try to deny another person theirs. I wonder what would be the solution to this problem.
