    1. a focus on ordinary people, flawed masculinity, humor, simplicity, repetitiveness, and whimsical content

Focusing on ordinary people is something that anyone who wants you to like them will do from fictional characters to politicians they all want to seem relatable.

    2. people share content that arouses them emotionally—both positively and nega-tively

I think provoking emotion is one of the most important p's because emotion is one of the most powerful thigs out there when something makes you happy or sad it definitely gets your attention more than anything else and your more likely not to forget it.

    3. “six Ps” (or the six-pack, for the marketers among you): positivity, provocation of high-arousal emotions, participation, packaging, prestige, and positioning

These six p's are definitely something you wont wanna forget anytime soon.

    1. Internet users are on to something, and researchers should follow.

I love this statement because if there's anything especially 2020 has thought us is how powerful the internet is. I remember tik tok being on the news this past late summer early fall because they believed tik tok users reserved enough seats for a Donald trump rally and didn't go making his rally almost empty. And just a few days ago a reddit group caused game stops stock to go up over 300% in a day. I just believe there is a lot of research to be done here because these are obviously huge effects on our country that came from people on the internet.

    2. The term “meme” was coined by Richard Dawkins in 1976 to describe small units of culture that spread from person to person by copying or imitation

Its actually so surprising to me that this word was used to mean what it means now in the 1970s I could have put my life on it that this word was first used in the 21st century 20th the latest before reading this.

    3. “Mitt Romney Style,” “Singaporean Style,” and “Arab Style.”

I do remember this and like said before I found it ridiculously annoying not being able to escape this song or remixes but it also kind of reminds me of little nas X's big hit old town road which I felt had a similar public response that I hated until the remix with Billy ray cyrus, Mason Ramsey and young thug came out which I considered an instant classic.

    4. “Gangnam Style” was the first clip to surpass the one-billion-view mark.

just hearing the name of this song gives my ptsd I remember when this song came out I was 14 years old and every kid under 12 was obsessed and couldn't stop playing it but I was in eighth grad and it just became the most annoying song every but I can see why were talking about it.

    1. often,notevenprimarily—aboutwhat\who-J%theproducersmighthavemeantbutaboutwhatthepeshareditwastryingtocommunicate

I agree when I see someone post share or repost something I obviously know that they probably didnt create it but they're sharing it because they agree with it or strongly disagree with it and trying to spread awareness.

    2. fitdoesn’tspread,it’sdea

I understand and complete agree with this statement because for something to go viral and if you want something to reach somewhere it needs to be shared that why there's a retweet button and a share button on Facebook and Instagram the moment something stops being shred to new viewers its peaked and reached its max potential
