      Working with preschoolers, and from experience, it is inevitable for children not to get injured (minor injuries). It is unfair to label it as negligence. We all do our best to keep the children safe and prevent any injuries from happening, but at the end of the day, they are kids full of energy and curiosity.

The UDL Guidelines are not meant to be a prescription or a checklist, but a tool that offers a set of suggestions that can be applied to instructional design to reduce barriers, sustain and honor learners’ multiple identities, and maximize learning opportunities according to specific learning goals.

      I like how it says the guidelines are not meant to be a checklist but ways for a teacher to implement them in their classroom.

    2. When environments are intentionally designed to reduce barriers, every learner can engage in challenging, meaningful learning.

      Creating and having a safe place for a child to learn is important. They will feel more comfortable asking for help or making it enjoyable to learn, and they will want to go to school.
