    1. No journalist is the first person to know anything, if they’re reporting on what happened to another person, though you might be the first person to listen. It’s always someone else’s story first, and it never stops being their story too, no matter how well you tell it, how widely you spread it.

      I never thought about it this way. It is true that journalist are just the ones that tell other's peoples story and report based off what they heard.

      I like how the author included a recent event that we can relate to more easily and see their point easier.

    5. And when activism wins, it’s because, at least in part, the story has become the new narrative, the story the mainstream accepts. Journalism plays a crucial role in this.

      The way the story is told really affects the message that gets across.

      Does the author mean that when we report a story we shouldn't include our own opinions?

      empty poem=meaningless poem Your death will have many empty feelings. The end of things will be meaningless. death=end of things

      Teacher intends to surprise students with his point of view. The students trust the teacher's insight is reliable compared the other students.

      I think people tend to enjoy surrounding themselves with people that have the same beliefs and views as them.

      What makes this wrong? Do they believe in storks or are they referencing to a midwife not being the opposite of a gun? Maybe, they state that this is wrong for both reasons.

    5. A midwife?

      Some could argue that this is wrong and that midwifes don't deliver babies. Some people believe that storks do when they're at a young age. I wonder what age group these students are in.

      Is he comparing his life to a gun because of how powerful he felt his life is? Does this mean he was ready in his life just like a loaded gun is ready to shoot?
