This is crazy to me that she went to this new area to have a better opportunity and still was stuck in a job that got less than the other people. I think it is kind of like in the older days where some people are getting underpaid to work and there were not equal rights.

I think that these stories about Indigenous people are toxic because they are not written by indigenous people. They can make it seem that it was but it may not be. These other people writing these stories can make up stories about the indigenous people or make it seem that these people are bad in a way.
