    1. Friends of the Earth, WWF, Global Justice Now, Stop Climate Chaos, Wen, Ethnic Minority Environmental Network,

I was only aware of one of these, good to know some more organizations

    2. I can’t be the only ethnic minority who’s interested in climate change

I feel that this could be a power stance in a way regarding the perception mentioned earlier. Silencing the minority gives people more power seeing that there would be less people to possibly disagree with.

    3. aren’t going to let their loved ones go uncared for

This is a good topic to cover seeing that women are seen as caregivers anyways. It is true that social services are cut especially in our society where we are pressured to work, women feel pressure to care for their children and especially in other cultures where they hold this responsibility as well as provide for the community.

    4. they’re still surviving and still thriving.

This reminds me of when I see videos, on TikTok for example, I saw a native group eating whale and people not apart of that culture were being defensive of the animal yet they know nothing about that culture. These groups survive and have survived for centuries using the same techniques yet individuals choose to be ignorant first rather than learn.

    5. f a mainstream group doesn’t give a platform to the most marginalised in society, we get to a place that is even more disempowering and oppressive to marginalised communities because the response to the crisis will not recognise us and our lived experience.

Mainstream groups continue to not give a platform to marginalized groups in our society, I feel this is why these environmental issues affecting women specifically are not talked about enough

    6. people of colour in Europe, one where we can fully be ourselves without having to justify our experience in the face of whiteness or maleness

This is so special because these marginalized populations are always last to be heard so creating a safe space is so important, all relating to one another with no fear or judgement.

    7. linked to the environmental crisis that is happening in the North-Eastern part of Nigeria close to Lake Chad

I remember reading about these kidnappings a few years ago but I did not know it was linked to an environmental crisis!

    8. we are also fighting for human rights.

People fail to see that feminism and climate change is actually trying to erase systematic inequalities. It's a misconception and the author clerkly defines ecofeminism as a fight for humanity rather than just a fight for women specifically.

    9. industrial food system is also a huge contributor to climate change

question - what is the purpose of the industrial food system taking advantage of peasant agriculture? what do they gain from taking away their land, do they profit from their labour?

    10. Capitalism needs and uses women’s bodies to do free care labour

This was an important note. Not many acknowledge this and as the need for consumption increases so does the labour for these women. Understanding that women have multiple roles is important because not only are they caretakers they also are heads of households and provide for their families.

    11. fight for justice and for a safe environment.

Climate justice for Dipti is all about equality amongst everyone, she personally experienced inequality based on her identity and she feels that inequality should not exist so fighting injustice in the form of climate change is her way of combating that injustice
