It's important to note that the economic impact of redlining is the driving force behind the criminal impact of redlining. Partially in that crime is often made necessary by poverty (I'm not saying that all neighborhoods that were once redlined are still poverty/crime ridden and awful, but it does seem logical that they would have a higher of chance of being disproportionately affected by crime and poverty). But also, there are at least some cases where you can draw a through line from low-income housing that hasn't been invested in to health consequences, like houses that still have lead paint or asbesetos.
