What? isn't that the purpose of going to school? For students to benefit from the resources the school is providing? if the student isn't benefiting, this is when the inequality of a school becomes more evident

    2. They said their schools were already overcrowded and underfunded, so why should they bus in other kids who weren’t part of their community?

This reminds me of the elementary i went to, they didnt allow me to attend the school because i wasn't living in the range that they were accepting kids. i lived closer to this school than the other school that was accepting me. sometimes families are in seek for their child to attend a school thats in a better environment. why not let families that are willing to drive a mile or 2 farther for their child to attend?

    3. yperlocal decisions.

Whats hyperlocal ? relating to or focusing on matters concerning a small community or geographical area. But are they given the same education that nearby schools are given, or did this school only offer special programs?

    1. There’s a cruel through-line between the unfair disciplining of a black preschooler, and the police profiling of a black teen on a street corner

This is so true. school is a place where everyone should be give the same opportunity to learn and express themselves. if a child feels targeted at school for any little thing they do or dont do, are they being treated equal to the other children? if children start to see that school isnt the same as the streets, they would want to be there, where one can learn and coexist in a classroom with all races. Is this a reason for African american children not attending school ? does it really stop the cycle? Is preschool really where inequality can end?

    2. Segregation systematically holds back socioeconomic advancement for children of color, and preschool enrichment is vital for helping remedy the disadvantages of poverty and discrimination in early childhood

This is a good example of what segregation does to young children and around the time it starts, ages 4-5 as we learned in the "Racial identification and preference in negro children". i dont know what they mean about enrichment but maybe diverse enrichment? if this is what they mean, then yeah i think its a good place to start exposing children to equality.
