he name of Robin Hood has been synonymous with Sherwood Forest for more than 600 years.
Robin hood would be considered an anti-hero in my eyes. Different versions from history and in different viewers eyes he can be looked up at the guy that fought against the nobles or sometimes he can act on his own personal gain. Despite who he is as a person. His story still lives on!!!

I had to read the whole passage in order to come back to this, it seem like the Prince likes to live in " oblivion" . it comes off very selfish and arrogant. you can see he is putting his wife through emotionally distress after cheating on her, and instead of feeling bad it like he don't care! I might've gotten the books mixed up but I still believe it goes in hand with the overhand message about building character and be able to to learn and accept the knowledge given to you. Always accept to learn and grow and show leadership if you can. Build morals.

this quote basically highlight Miyazawa and his character throughout his life. His work have an emotional impact for sure.

Like many poets like himseff they don't get recognized for their worth til after death but I'm happy to hear he able to earn the flowers he deserve esp. through his culture.

The Story
What I'm basically understanding is that history and family mistakes always repeat themselves. I think that's why the title is " one hundreds years of solitude" because you can be around your family for seven years and still feel a sense of loneliness, which I think that's what the family struggle with? they need to learn to talk to each other and understand each other so mistakes don't not keep repeating itself and pass on through family history.

What I get from this poem is that there is distance between to people who are also still connected to each other.? or that's how I took it at least.

This is a sad poem, I guess Paz is trying to say that he lost himself, and maybe thats why the poem is so short, because without "whom" he has no sense of security or identity.

At this point and reading more, we are getting learning about different authors and their backgrounds and how they play a apart in the Mexican revolution/Lit today.
For example, Laura Esquivel’s 1993 novel, Like Water for Chocolate, employs magical realism in a tale that begins during the Mexican Revolution
Mexican revolution influenced authors to pushed more poetry and lit during this time.
Such a beautiful poem, what I get from this poem is that he is talking about the woman's body and mind in the most beautiful way possible. Although he can't really understand her, her mind and body is something the author admires about her.

I didn't understand the poem but after rereading it over & over. everything is constantly changing around us. " water escapes and is wind" for example, water can evaporate through wind! I caught on to that one immediately. we can be different but also still connected to each other???

I believe Anansi appear in some Marel series if I'm not mistaken so I'm glad I came across this because it helped jog my memory of his name I knew I heard before. They're truly different versions!
To do so, he tricks other animals or eats his own children.

Although Anansi is known as a trickster, he does not always prove to be clever. In “The Yam-hills,” tale 31, Monkey tricks Anansi, which results in Anansi’s death. It is forbidden to speak the word “nine” (which is the number of yam hills Anansi has planted), and whoever says the number aloud dies. Anansi tricks both Hog and Goat into counting all the hills. Each counts to nine and dies, and Anansi takes each animal home to eat. Monkey observes this from a tree and when asked to count the yam hills, he angers Anansi by counting one through eight and concluding with “an’ the one Br’er [Brother] Anansi sit down upon.” After he repeats this, Anansi grows impatient, tries to correct him, says the word “nine,” and instantly dies.
Another good angle to bring up, just because he's a trickster, doesn't mean anasni used their cleverness for better good. I believe there was another story as well due to anansi impatience he dies as well!e
“He [Anansi] saw a man giving a woman some money and telling her to put it up for ‘rainy day.’ After the man had left, Anansi went up to the woman and told her he was ‘Mr. Rainy Day.’ She said, ‘Well, it’s you, sah? Different outlook from most Anansi stories I came across. Anansi dies in this version for due to selfishness and lies. Good angle to compare with my other character.
The character is known for his shape-shifting ability, sometimes appearing as a man, woman, or spider, which adds to the complexity of his narratives.
