Unlike a sweatshirt or a pair of shoes, a food product cannot fully be measured by it's appearance, as the purpose of food is to be consumed. In other words, you can't taste a cookie just by looking at a photo. What this means is cultivating a mindset of selling something that people WANT and NEED to taste. In doing so, I've learned the power of words and images to attract customers and sell a product I believe in.

      definitely pros to healthy food, but kids aren't gonna choose it on their own. If that's the main goal of food corps, their efforts would be much more effective if they targeted families, or addressed structural shortcomings like increasing access to transportation or building more supermarkets.

    1. its primary function, in my analysis, has been to enable people of a certain social class to distinguish themselves from the unwashed masses during a period of elite hoarding of wealth and opportunity that started with the Reagan years and continues today.

      thus, the idea of a food corps has to do greatly with social class/hierarchy. AKA the more affluent imposing their set of what is good to eat on those in lower income areas.
