I think this is an important concept, especially now. Everything is going online, and if people don't have proper access to media literacy, there's no way they're able to get the knowledge and training they'll need to further their futures with new technologies.

I really have just one concern for this course and that is keeping up with the class.

I know nothing about a mac, as well. I'm a fan of windows (currently have an HP). Learning to a use a mac, I think, will definitely help us in the future!
