    1. The game is payingattention to the player’s actions, just as the player is paying attention to theeffects of their actions in the game’s virtual world.

I find this interesting because I think without music a game would not be as interesting or have the ability to make someone really feel like they are completely involved. Without the presence of music virtual reality would not be so successful.

    2. If I cannot hear import-antfictional information in a game, my avatar ends up wandering aim-lessly or attacking the‘wrong’characters.

I agree with this statement that music is just as important if not more significant in games than in films. It plays a huge part in the players experience and sometimes part of the game.

    1. Champion’s childhood days are shot largely in warm earth tones:browns, reds, yellows. When the urban landscape encroaches on Madame Souza’shome, things become cold, with blues and greys dominating.

I think colors also have a lot to do with interpretations of certain scenes. For instance, Champion's childhood home sounds more appealing and inviting than the described cold and intimidating environment Madame Souza has to offer.

    2. has anew, rapid theme on the accordion, which takes its initial rhythm from the sound ofthe woman’s shears as she gives chase.

I find it interesting how music can greatly affect a scene. Adding music to this already deranged scene added on to its semantics. Without music I don't think certain scenes or actions would be so accepted.

    3. herself to be a fully fledged witch. In this film (for which Isao Takahata was musicdirector), Hisaishi avoids minor scales but uses what he terms ‘light melodies’ becausethe story follows the girl’s growth in a northern European countr

Kiki's Delivery Service was actually the first anime movie I watched. After reading that the author used more european music in the film I realize that the music was a lot more westernized and" light" than other anime movies I have watched.

    1. lsa is technically the villain of the movie. In the film’s long production history, her character evolved from that of the wicked Snow Queen in Andersen’s fairy tale, on which Frozen was loosely based

I find this interesting because this was one of the only Disney movies to show the progression of a character of becoming evil or the villain. While the actual villain in the movie was introduced as a charming savor.

    2. isney’s animated features have both modelled their songs and forms on the contemporary Broadway musical and influenced it in turn.

I definitely agree with this statement I feel that Disney incorporating musicals into animation gave it a whole new outlook and theme.

    1. I think that "Mickey Mousing" takes away the seriousness of a seen and automatically makes the scenario more comedic than innovative. I think in this statement he is saying that the focal point of a scene being on Mickey Mousing is its downfall and takes away from its own originality. It takes away from its potential of being a great scene and concludes it as unimaginative.

    1. Art music aims to produce a fairly standard timbre within a vocal range or class of instruments (which can make it diffi cult to distinguish one operatic soprano from another).

This is interesting because art music is often regarded as the inferior music category. It is intended to be professional or sophisticated while not being extreme. So I think certain tones being unrecognizable adds on to it mysteriousness and high regard.
