Technical communication is the delivery of technical information to readers (or listeners or viewers) in a manner that is adapted to their needs, level of understanding, and background.
This sections reminds me of the importance of audience when planning a speech. The audience element being a focus in this curse as well as "translating" allows us to explore and develop new techniques.
Technical writing courses build on what you have learned in other writing courses. But there is plenty new to learn!
this is very appealing to me because in previous writing or english classes we were always learning something new. (focusing on one/two styles specifically) Knowing that there will also be new content to learn makes this class much more exciting as well.
in other words, the kind of writing that scientists, nurses, doctors, computer specialists, government officials, engineers, and other such people do as a part of their regular work
Allows us to know that this course is important for all majors, not only those majoring in english or education. It also lets us know that it is essential to communicate ethically and professionally in our work field.
