Digital marketing can work for any business in any industry.
I wonder how true this is for the medical device industry. I don't have any medical device marketing experience but I used to work in that industry as an engineer. Medical device companies essentially have to convince providers (doctors) and payers (insurance companies) that there product is both better than currently available options and is also more cost effective. I have a hard time seeing how digital marketing can be applied to convincing payers and providers. I imagine SEO, PPC, email marketing, etc. won't do much but would love to hear from the medical device marketers we have in this class how/if digital marketing tactics are used.
