In SmartCredit's training, its accuracy was measured by comparison to human decisions about credit scores which were made with an understanding of the physical world. But a new version of SuperCredit a hundred years later might have to be trained on data which wasn't supervised and related to the real world by humans at all, for example a dataset of credit score decisions made entirely by AI. So if AI use becomes very prevalent, can we really lose touch with reality?
