    1. hyperlinking and non-linear narrative.

      This is something that I tell my students on the first day of class. Because I rely on class discussions to guide the conversations, our class times feel more like a set of hyperlinks than a linear PowerPoint presentation.

      Maybe one way to develop this skill should be to have students post their notes from a class discussion in a hyperlink capable textual format? Right now, most of my students post pics of their notes to the Moodle because they struggle with re-creating the "jumpyness" of the class time in text box for the Moodle discussion forums. But, if they were to learn how to write out their notes in a digital format, it could reinforce the interconnections of the texts and topics in my classes.

    2. Learning to effectively manage one or more digital identities.

      Reading this reminds me of the all email messages I get from students in which the sender is labeled as "School" or "SNC email" which throws me off when I search for their archived emails.
