Hence, the restorers of readings, the emendators, the bibliomaniacs of all degrees.
Books (and maybe libraries/colleges) as places of accepting dogma rather than engaging concepts/wrestling/debating.
If scientific reasoning were limited to the logical processes of arithmetic, we should not get far in our understanding of the physical world. One might as well attempt to grasp the game of poker entirely by the use of the mathematics of probability.
Interesting to note the boom in poker coincides with a more data-driven approach to general society.
