    1. Faith needed food, she needed medicine, she needed counseling

The conditions the women are living in isn't okay. They are being treated poorly. The environment these girls are living in isn't only abuse and causing hunger it affects their mental health tremendously. These are young girls who are treated very poorly, and treated like they are not even human. The fact that Faith stood up for herself and wanted change says a lot, and just by that she will 100% succeed in life.

    2. She really loved learning, and she wanted to come to my school when she heard about it. So she asked her father, her mother — anyone to bring her to my school. They all refused.

Faith is very brave and determined. She wouldn't let anything stop her since she wanted an education. There needs to be more girls breaking out of their comfort zone and sticking up for what they want but that is not easy. It could cause a lot of problems but there needs to be a change and that change starts by girls standing up for themselves and letting people know they are worth way more. Every girl has the potential to do amazing things they just need to stick up for themselves and believe they can do just about anything.

    3. Girls were still going through FGM, still leaving school, still getting married to men older than their fathers and still having children when they’re teenagers. I did not want to see any more girls go through that. That’s when I knew what I needed to do to give back to my community.

She wanted to make a change and make a difference. The "standard" for girls should no longer be that "standard" anymore that should not be their normal life. Girls are empowered to get a degree, get a paying job just like men can. This isn't a normal thing in the US so why should it be normal anywhere else? Letting girls/women choose what they want to do in life rather than just getting married at a young age working in the house should be their choice.

    1. There will always be waste. I’m not that unrealistic that I think we can live in a waste-free world

I do believe if everyone tried and cared we could live in a waste free world. Too many people are selfish and don't care about what is going on throughout the world. If more people cared this could be very possible. It is sad, not enough people think that there are 100% many people out in the world who have to food to eat, or a place to sleep. Not caring is being selfish to those who don't have access to basic needs such as food. I was always taught to finish my plate or eat it later and I still stand by that, I always will. Food waste is such a big problem, but that big problem can be solved and fixed if everyone comes together to stop it.

    2. the injustice of food waste, and the provision of the solution to food waste, which is simply to sit down and eat food, rather than throwing it away.

Not everyone thinks of throwing out food as being a problem but it really is. I was always told as a child to not waste food since not everyone is fortunate to have any. Ever since then if I end up not finishing my plate I will save it for later, I would feel to guilty throwing it out! Whenever my family and I go out to eat in a major city if we had any leftovers we would always give it to the homeless. It touched my heart especially traveling to San Francisco and seeing so many homeless people who were starving. It's important to not be selfish and think about others who are not as fortunate. Go the extra mile and save your food for later if you don't finish or give it away to someone who needs it.

    3. The job of uncovering the global food waste scandal started for me when I was 15 years old. I bought some pigs. I was living in Sussex. And I started to feed them in the most traditional and environmentally friendly way. I went to my school kitchen, and I said, “Give me the scraps that my school friends have turned their noses up at.” I went to the local baker and took their stale bread. I went to the local greengrocer, and I went to a farmer who was throwing away potatoes because they were the wrong shape or size for supermarkets. This was great. My pigs turned that food waste into delicious pork. I sold that pork to my school friends’ parents, and I made a good pocket money addition to my teenage allowance.

Instead of wasting left over food by throwing it away, what was done is a very good and smart idea. It saves a lot of money and also saves wasting food. It also allowed him to work smart by thinking of ways he can save a lot of money but still make money at the same time. This is a good way to collect enough food in all different places that are getting rid of it.

    1. We’ve used up the easy wins from economic growth, and now we’re moving on to harder problems.

Took the easy route, now having to move onto more harder and complex things. This is a good thing. Challenges are good, it helps everyone improve and think. Plus it helps us all grow with stronger and new ideas. Looking at the harder problems will also help eliminate more problems we are looking at as a country. Pushing away and neglecting difficult issues will only make them worse.

    2. What do we have to get to achieve the Global Goals?

We need to start looking at it as "us" not "you" or "them" we are all in this together. Some people may think just a simple bottle being thrown out the window may do no harm. What is the problem? It's little. Okay well, there are so many people around the world thinking the exact same thing. One simple bottle turns into millions of bottles that are slowly destroying the earth. If one person doesn't like where they live don't take everyone down with you.

    3. Do you think the world is going to be a better place next year? In the next decade? Can we end hunger, achieve gender equality, halt climate change, all in the next 15 years?

Absolutely not! As each year passes, I continue to notice how the world is becoming much more negative and unfriendly with each other and the environment. It is going to take way more than 15 years to change all of that. I honestly don't even think ending all of that will happen. There will always be groups of people who are against everything and almost want the world to be unhappy and gross with all the pollution and littering. This is where we live. We need to start treating it right with love. The next generations won't be able to experience this world if people continue to destroy it. Being kind to people also goes a long way. We were always told "treat people the way you would want to be treated" why has that all of a sudden stopped? Do people really want to be treated horribly? I sure do not! When I encounter a person with a horrible attitude I do not change the way I act. I know how it feels so why would I treat someone else that way? We all need to accept each other, and realize we are all the same at the end of the day. We all live on the same earth. We need to start taking care of it.

    1. t is also necessary in both public and private life to refrain consistently and empathically from inflicting pain.

It's important to prevent causing pain to both other people and yourself. Judging people for what they believe in, what they wear or how they talk are all just a few ways someone can cause pain to another individual. Thinking before something is said can also prevent pain. Think of it as if someone said something to you. Would it be offensive? If so why would it be said? Causing purpose pain only separates us and divides us as humans. Why would this want to be done?

    2. Compassion impels us to work tirelessly to alleviate the suffering of our fellow creatures,

Compassion is what pushes people to reach their goals with what they want. People have all different things they are compassionate about, which can also bring them together.

    3. The principle of compassion lies at the heart of all religious, ethical, and spiritual traditions, calling us always to treat all others as we wish to be treated ourselves.

Treating someone the way you would want to be treated is something we have all learned at a young age. It is important to remember this in certain situations. As humans, when something goes wrong we are quick to act and it might not always be in a nice way. It's important to really think about the situation and view it as the other way around if you were in that certain situation. Everyone has different beliefs not everyone's the same, so it is important to give everyone equal respect.
