I think its important that groups in opposition to the far right adopt further policy like this. Not simply taking time off when a more left leaning political party is in power but to keep on working to take preventative measures to ensure rights and freedoms are further protected in case a far right government were to come into power. This is something I will largely criticize the Democratic Party in the US for failing to accomplish with 8 years in office but with no effort to codify Roe vs Wade, something that would later be revoked causing woman in many states to lose their reproductive rights

This is an issue I see a lot with discourse surrounding the teaching of sexual education and gender in school. Many are unironically under the assumption that pornographic material is used to teach about these subjects. On top of being entirely wrong, this reveals how narrow most peoples view is on the subject of sexual education, and discussions around homosexuality. Many automatically think of sexual aspects of LGBTQ experience, dehumanizing them to a sexual action instead of humans with complicated feelings of love.

I think this point is very important to reflect on. Much of modern culture war discourse is being funded by organizations such as these conservative think tanks especially in the US. In my undergraduate, i conducted a study looking into "moms for liberty", a Florida based parental rights group who attacked teachers who practise inclusive teaching practises. The organization was tied to and directly funded by conservative think thanks such as the aforementioned Heritage and Koch foundation. These foundations dictate much of the public conscious without them being hardly known and ties into our class discussion on the intersection between patriarchy, racism, and capitalism all as dominant restricting forces.
