有时候，我也会与大和尚探讨管理问题，因为他作为寺院的住持，事务性的工作也是很繁忙的，一忙得厉害了，他就自嘲自己像个总经理。有一次喝茶时我随口说了一句企业管理中讲究管理的闭环，大和尚是第一次听到这个词，很认真地问我，这是什么意思？我就大概的说了一下PDCA的管理循环，没想到，他马上说：“嗯，有点意思。其实我们出家人也要讲闭环，是心的闭环：管理者讲任务，出家人讲发心，那就要在做事之后回归本心，回到自己的初发心，实现心性的闭环，这样做事就不再以好坏、成败来作为唯一标准了。

明海大和尚有一次看似无意地说道：“与人交往，要做好两个前提准备：一是要坚信对方是好人，二是要明了对方是凡人。是好人，就必然有向善、行善的需求，是凡人，他的情绪和意识就必然有善变、不稳定的一面。在这两个前提下与人交往，就必然会超脱和豁达，也会更具备与人方便的能力。”
