For Quote accounts, it’s normal to repost other accounts posts. I put a watermark with my username on each of my posts, so that whoever re-posts my content has to leave my username. This will get my account out there without having to do much effort, and if someone "steals" my posts, it can be an advertisement for me.

    2. Tag your bestie in the comments!

I wrote this caption so that it tempts people to tag other people. I posted a funny quote about best friends and asked people to “tag their besties” so they can see the post as well and engage with it further. Here’s an example: https://www.instagram.com/p/CGGacUoHq2p/

    3. @quoteoftheday

I also tagged a successful account that wrote in their bio, “Tag @quoteoftheday to be featured on our page!” If they feature my post on their account, it could bring a lot of engagement to my own page. Here’s the account: https://www.instagram.com/quoteoftheday/.

On every post, I add a lot of relevant hashtags because it helps immensely when you want to be found by more followers. Hashtags help your Instagram posts to be seen by people who are not following you. So if I post a quote with relevant hashtags like #quotes, the other people searching for the #quotes will be able to find it and I could gain a following. However, unlike other accounts, I made sure not to flood my posts with hashtags, as it can look too much and followers will think you’re trying too hard. It could also be very helpful to follow other poets on Instagram and copy their hashtags for more engagements, which I did as well. Here are some examples from other successful accounts: https://www.instagram.com/p/CGP-0v6HMzk/ https://www.instagram.com/p/CGQYUrlH1l_/

I wanted to write this introduction to present my account as a professional and well run account. I did this to set myself apart from other accounts and give a sort of introduction to myself to get people to feel more comfortable and understand me better.

    6. me too! U can barely even see the chair in my room 😂

I made sure to engage with my followers as well as engage with other Instagram accounts of the same nature. I replied to the comments of my readers to build supporters, which will help my account to grow also. Engaging with followers with the same passion they’re sending out will help build a sense of community and positivity in my account.

    7. Who else is an ARMY? 💜💜 I’ve been one since 2018! Comment the year you became army below!

A lot of Quote accounts like to target a certain fandom or group of people for more engagement. We all know that the BTS fandom is the biggest in the world, and as I am a die hard ARMY (fan of the group) as well, I thought that I could target the particular audience that I myself am a part of and would love engaging with.

For Quote accounts, it’s normal to repost other accounts' posts. I put a watermark with my username on each of my posts at the top right corner, so that whoever re-posts my content has to keep my username. This will get my account out there without having to do much effort, and if someone "steals" my posts, it can be an advertisement for me.

    12. Simply Relatable Simply True Simply You Follow for your daily dose of Relatability! 💙

I wrote a cute and creative bio because this is what people read when they view my profile. It’s good to have something different and well written because there are lots of Quotes Instagram accounts, and it’s important to stick out.

    13. Relatabella

I created a brandable Instagram Handle and Profile Picture to seem professional and make it easier to recognise. I used a creative name that shows professionalism, while having meaning at the same time. I absolutely love fairy tales, so having my name as Relatabella made it personal to me and depicts my personality as someone who is pretty girly and usually has her head up in the clouds. Other famous accounts also create brandable handles and profile pictures, as seen in these examples: https://www.instagram.com/quotes/ https://www.instagram.com/quoteoftheday/

For this assignment, I wanted to create a Quotes account on Instagram for my original contribution to a chosen digital culture/subculture. Instagram Quote Accounts are very successful and active, so for my project today, I will be explaining my choices and how they either align or misalign from the cultural expectations most Quotes and Relatable Posts accounts follow.

    1. For all the ways in which students aresituated as the “Net generation” and the “digitalgeneration” and “digital natives,” simple accessto technology tools will not ensure that studentslearn to be effective, thoughtful, and ethical dig-ital writers.

This is very interesting as it is true that a lot of people think that more technology guarantees more knowledge. Having so much knowledge at our fingerprints has made us more lazy and let's us take knowledge for granted.

    2. So for anyone who imagined that computers would make writing easier, theirony is that by making a host of individual tasks easier, computers havedramatically expanded options for writers and have probably made writ-ing, and learning to write, more complex.

I agree with this statement, as it is true that computers have no doubt made lives easier, it's also true that they've made them harder as well. Writers now having dramatically expanded options has carried into the expectations readers have and probably made the pressure to have the most imaginative and creative ideas much harder.

    3. The act of exchanging e-mails, instantmessages, texts, and social network posts is communication thatcarries the same weight to teens as phone calls and between-class hallway greetings

This is something I can easily agree with. I consider writing for school to be "real" writing that can help me learn and grow as a writer, while texts, emails, or social network posts are what I consider to be just a conversation between friends. I agree with the fact that online communication through writing now holds the same weight as between hallway class greetings.
