      The persona wants to save the light of the listeners eyes because his eyes are full of impurities like the demons. The persona wants to remove the demons return to being pure. This links to the theme of innocence and how the persona wants to achieve innocence.

From the assonance sound "ow" in the words "now" and "how" tell me that not being able to achieve innocence hurts the persona.       The visual imagery of eyes shining bright tells me that the listener is very pure and innocent. This is because eye represent purity, innocence and soul. This makes me feel happy as there is at least one still good and pure soul left in the world.

      This line tells me through choice of words of masquerade that the sinners are compared to a masquerade which tell me that the sinners were people who lied about themselves and are not who they truly are and want to unveil other peoples facades to make them feel better.       This is the persona warning the listener that the sinners have planned to cause serious harm to the listener. I can see this though his sad tone. This makes me feel pity for persona as however hard they have tried to protect the listener, it is not enough and the sinner have already plotted their death.

      From this line I can infer that the likening the sinners as insects through a type of reverse personification using the word "crawl" where he describes humans crawling like insects in the dark. From this, I can reflect on the theme of evil and how the persona compares evil to pests.

      From this, I can infer that the persona is comparing the end of the world to the end of a play. I see this as the persona playing down the fact that the world is ending and is trying to make the listener feel safe

This makes me feel angry because if someone I respect and trust turns out to be a bad person I would be angry.

      I can infer from the speaker which is very to the point that the speaker is saying this calm and confidently that the quote is just and unquestionable statement. I feel sad for the speaker as it tell me he loses a lot and that he himself is a master of losing

    2. I lost my mother’s watch

      The watch symbolizes the passage of time and how the speaker has lost time with his mother. I can see the theme of wastage in this line as the speaker wasted his precious time with his mother
