    1. the Lord thundered with loud thunder against the Philistines and threw them into such a panic that they were routed before the Israelite

Imagine this SOUND! Thunder can be so loud and intimidating at times I imagine this shook the earth to how loud it was.

    2. ‘Do not stop crying out to the Lord our God for us, that he may rescue us from the hand of the Philistines’ ” (1 Samuel 7:8). In response, Samuel sacrificed a lamb to God, crying out to Him on Israel’s behalf, “and the Lord answered him” (v. 9).

Even though the Israelite knew they were God's chosen people they did not allow that to get in the way of them genuinely seeking God. Whether rich, poor or inbetween from you genuinely seek God He will show up.

    1. How is it possible to endure difficult times? Where can you find comfort in God’s promises?

Even in the difficult times if we trust God and hold firmly on His promises he will come through for us because He is always our present hope in times of need.

    2. The people were condemned more than thirty times in Jeremiah for not listening to Him. Seventy years might have felt like forever, but God would be with them, and He promised that the hard season would eventually end (29:10).

God's grace has a limit. He punished the disobedience by making the King of Babylon hold them in bondage for 70 years but He was still with them (to not allow them to be completely destroyed).

God told them He would be with them even through the difficult time as he always provides an opening for help if only we just trust Him.
