    1. Resisting the annexation of our hearts and minds by Silicon Valley requires us not just to set boundaries on our engagement with what they offer, but to cherish the alternatives. Joy in ordinary things, in each other, in embodied life, and the language with which to value it, is essential to this resistance, which is resistance to dehumanisation.

      This is who you direct your cover letter to. What do you know about her? Have you checked her LinkedIn page or other social media? Check in with NWCTS's website and their social media too.

    2. all NWCT staff regularly help with projects and programs from other departments as needed. NWCT staff members have a willingness to roll up their sleeves and ignite their brainpower however circumstances demand.

      Being willing to learn and take on projects from people who may not be your direct boss. Team player. Ability to find projects to work on during slow periods as well as prioritize projects during really busy times.

      Looks like they'll want someone who's available and flexible - can come in and change your schedule

      I like how suddenly colloquial the language got here.

    1. coming from the chat widget on the EZproxy login error page were from students incorrectly entering their usernames.

      Wow. Maybe some web usability testing is in order.

      Roaming reference. What about peer reference - training student workers to be a more approachable front line?
