    1. Technical

Recommend splitting this even more to different categories, e.g. Languages, Frameworks/Libraries, etc

Also, you def have more skills than this! Make sure to pull the related ones to the start of the list also

    2. Halifax, NS

I feel like this is more of a miss in format rather than an issue with the certificate. I highly recommend following the "Projects" style where you don't really need the location for it to be viable

    3. CompTIA

Same feedback here. FYI, the justification is because the bolded letters shout more attention, and it's better for you to put the actual certificate as the highlight and not the vendor in this case

    4. Coursera

Certificate's title should be "Google Cybersecurity Professional Certificate" with "Coursera" as the vendor. You should swap the places!

    5. University of Calgary Calgary, ABBachelor of Science - Concentration in Biology Sept. 2018 – May 2022

Would suggest leaving this out if it's not related to the job you are applying for

    1. ourse Management System

By the way, this sounds like an amazing tool! It'd be awesome if you can publish this once it's ready to the CS Dal discord, even better if it can be integrated as a bot (since it's an API it should be relatively easy I'd assume), so it can be as valuable as the ResuRalph bot and the Goldberg bot in the server :)

    2. or courses and task

what do you do with those courses and tasks? What's the real purpose of this API? It'd be great if you can put those context in the bullet here

    3. Created and standardized 200+ unique Test IDs across application pages

The number of test IDs aren't the wow factor here, but rather how you've automated the creation of those unique test IDs. You should choose a different metric to evaluate this bullet, and it'll become much prettier

    4. improving test coverage by 25%.

Curious, how does enhancing automation infrastructure improve your test coverage? I feel like there are some details which are missing. I'd appreciate if you can jot down those details as well!

    5. Sep–

You should put down the year as well for the starting period so ATS isn't confused when they are plotting data when you submit this resume

  5. resu-bot-bucket.s3.ca-central-1.amazonaws.com resu-bot-bucket.s3.ca-central-1.amazonaws.com
    1. basic data manipulation

Don't downgrade yourself by saying "basic". There has to be a few specific terms for what you've done! For example, data sanitization :)

    2. leading to a 30% increase in new user sign-ups for a client

What app? How did you calculate it? How does making an API make people sign up more? (I feel like that's more in the realm of advertising than development)

    3. ficient architecture choices.• Design

Another +1 to the comment earlier about going a bit easy on the vertical spacing, it makes it a lot harder to read than I thought lol

    4. Improved data display and processing for users

"Improve" is a very vague term. I see you mentioned what you improved, but how do customers react to it? E.g., what's the customer impact that's beyond the word "improved"?

    5. Engineered scalable backend endpoints using the Play Framework in Java, improving efficiency for large datasets.• Improved data display and processing for users of SpryEngage product by implementing dynamic Knockout.jsinte

I don't like how there are less vertical space moving bullet-to-bullet than word-wrapping. You might want to go a bit easy on vspacing :)

    6. Knockout.js

Usually, proper nouns are a loud word by themselves, so I wouldn't bold it here. I would only bold something you really want readers to focus on, otherwise, it becomes pretty messy in my opinion.

I'd check how the resume looks like without any bolded words, and see if you really need to bold in anything.

    7. AWS Cloud Practitioner Certificate March 2025Supervised Machine Learning Stanford Course August 2025

Usually I would put these under "certificates" category because Education is usually reserved for post-secondary academia information

    8. Awards Sexton Scholar, Dean’s list, Phi Delta Theta Academic Pathway Award, George B Robertson ScholarshipAWS Cloud Practitioner Certificate March 2025

Hard to read without a vertical space in between the bullet and the next real thing

    1. before the botbroke due to coding errors

No need to add this! Do you want them to think of you as a programmer who builds unreliable code? Probably not lol

    2. 24/7 uptime

Do they GUARANTEE a 24/7 uptime? Because even the strongest cloud services like AWS only guarantees 99.95% uptime for a majority of their services :)

    3. uy/sell

would prefer to exclude special characters if they are easy and fair enough to replace to english characters since some message parsers translate this over to query-safe codes, like "%2F" E.g. Replace it with "and" if you can

    4. Organized and coordinated 20+ vehicle calendars and booking schedules,

This would be sweet if YOU were to have created a coding project to manage this :)

Try to sneak it in if you did and can.

    5. high level client satisfaction.

      "High-level" (add a hyphen)

      Also, what's a high-level client satisfaction compared to a low-level client satisfaction?

    6. educing onboarding time by 40%

How does creating an internal documentation reduce onboarding time by 40%? What are people trying to onboard to?

    7. enhancing organization and reducing manual workload

By how much? How much time does this save? How much of that time translates over to money? Over a year? If you can answer those questions sequentially, then you get a really nice bullet that talks about something HR can always relate to (saving money)

    8. company’s website

I prefer to not use any shortners like 's or 've or 'd in a format document. Try rewording the phrase. You can achieve this by flipping some words around.

Ideally, you just drop the "company's", because you're obviously going to talk about the "company" under the experience. Then, get more specific with the website. For example, what's the website for?

    9. Relevant Courses

IMO, useless field, so remove it if you have something else more valued to fill up the space (like a project or work experience)

    10. cgpa

I would also word it as GPA instead of CGPA since it's more worldwidely agreed-upon set of abbreviations. Also, I would capitalize any abbreviations.

    11. cademic excellence and achieving a cgpa of 3.7+ in consecutive semesters.

I hate using colons because it makes punctuation rules really wonky. I'd avoid this format in general and use a generic "Awards" category to list out your accomplishments. If you'd prefer not to use it, then make the first "A" a capital letter

    12. Sexton Scholar (2023 – Present) and recipient of the Dalhousie In-Course Scholarship.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think these are potentially the same thing right? If so, then just leave it with Sexton Scholar.

If they are separate things, they belong on separate lines.

  7. resu-bot-bucket.s3.ca-central-1.amazonaws.com resu-bot-bucket.s3.ca-central-1.amazonaws.com
    1. Developed as a solo project in two weeks and published on GitHub, emphasising independent project management, adaptability, time management, and end-to-end software development

This doesn't help that much. I think we can drop this and add a more valuable bullet instead in this or other projects. Justification: most projects your competitors will create are solo projects, so you're kinda boosting them in comparison because of your statement :)

    2. 3x Sexton Schola

It would be good to tell the reader what criteria the awardee needs to meet to earn it! Justification: people outside of nova scotia does not know what a Sexton Scholar is

    3. CSCI 2691: Introductory Projec

I don't think these are necessary and might contribute to negatives instead of positives (justification: projects age, and I don't want to expedite that aging process by claiming something is from university course or high school)

    1. Certifications

For certifications, we generally go look after more technical certificates, like AWS Cloud Practitioner. I think we should drop everything here in favour of those technical certificates, or remove them completely to add room for more projects

    2. 6 different JUnit tests for each function future-proofing development

You definitely want more unit tests, and also, unit tests do not future-proof anything! It just makes developers know "oh crap, the code should follow this path instead of the other way around" if they make any dumb breaking changes. If your library changes, that can be potentially future-breaking. Same thing with deployments as well!

    3. Utilized Java libraries and frameworks to create functions that allowed for recursive generation of the dice.

Like what libraries and frameworks? I thought "recursion" was more of a concept that didn't need any libraries or frameworks?

    4. Utilized Java debugging tools and eliminated 93% of identified bugs.

This is probably doing you a lot worse than you think -- this means that you've kept 7% of the bugs you've found and haven't addressed it for some reason, which is bad!

    5. Developed a functional Java Windows application, generating optimal die faces using an electrostatic force model.

This sounds cool af, where's the link??

    6. Technical

I'd probably split this down to more categories so you can talk more about it. For example, devtools, libraries, frameworks, platforms, etc

    7. Helped over a thousand students learn additive/subtractive manufacturing best practices

      over a thousand --> 1000+

Also, not to pick any skepticism but how did you measure "1000+" here?

    8. Designed intuitive graphical user interfaces to improve user experience.

Any theory or practicalness of designing a new GUI? How does that impact the user experience? Anything you've done special to improve the user experience?

    9. Developed standards for employee software interaction, reduced operating costs by 40%, improving functionality.

How does making standards reduce operating costs? How does that improve functionality?

    10. Revised, modularized, and updated old code bases to modern code bases.

What does this mean? I'd probably prefer you to talk about the infrastructure rather than "I wrote new codes and sometimes written stuff over pre-written code"

    11. one software solution utilizing Java, PHP, SQL(MySQL), and RESTful APIreducing user workload by up to 75%

You mentioned unifying things, but how did this impact the user workload exactly? Did you mean developer workload?

    12. improving students’ understanding of course material

Hard to measure metrics, but is there a way for you to qualify or quantify the improvement you've done other than directly saying that you've improved it?

    13. Partnered

Probably a wrong verb to start with -- you don't really "partner up" with the professor. You do work within the curriculum created by the professor so you're more-so a delegate. Maybe we should drop this part and go straight to "Planned and implemented..."

    1. scalability

This is a word that every software engineers go nuts for. How did you make it scalable? It's probably worth to even dedicate a whole new bullet for it.

    2. Implemented an AI calendar assistant using Gemini-AI, Tailwind CSS, Google Firebase and mood check-in extension forexisting calendar apps, designed to improve the mental and physical wellbeing of students and working professionals overtwo days, placing 3rd overall in the hackathon.

Bullet trails for a bit long here. I wonder if it can be shortened.

    3. client’s

What "client" does this refer to? Human, bot, application, etc there's a lot of clients in the world that it's probably valuable for you to specify which!

    4. storage

You clarify the type of storage here but not on the compute. I wonder if you can just get rid of Azure Blob Storage and just start off with something like "Implemented and managed Azure services..." and let them figure out the specific service from there on

    5. 100% deployment

I still don't understand the value of putting "100%" here. All deployments should be "100%" so it feels like you're stating a redundant obvious. I think we should choose a different metric.

    6. 90% accuracy

I see that you've just increased the number, but some recruiters do ask how you've gotten that number. How will you describe it? We can discuss this on Discord

    7. 02-237-0744 | antoniamugisa@gmail.comLinkedIn | Github | Website

Would like to see these on the same line now that we've shortened it! Gives us another vertical line to work with.

  13. resu-bot-bucket.s3.ca-central-1.amazonaws.com resu-bot-bucket.s3.ca-central-1.amazonaws.com
    1. reducing user input errors by 40%

I think a percentage isn't the best metric to show off here -- ideally, we should be reducing user input errors down by like 99%. If there's a user input error that isn't captured by your sanitation system and causes a service-side bug, then it could actually be a negative thing to show off here.

    2. up to 85% quicker response times.

what's this in more tangible data, like in milliseconds? I want to see if denoting the actual speed is better than denoting the optimization

    3. 100% deployment in Azure

I don't understand what this means exactly. I feel like all deployments are always a 100% deployment, so I think this is a redundant metric. I wonder if there's another metric you could use?

    4. 80% accuracy

This is actually pretty low given today's standard of fitting models to have crazy accuracy. I'd probably change these metrics to something else, or blow it up a bit more >90%

    5. Relevant Coursework:

If you are putting down relevant coursework (which imo is only used as a filler, and should be overridden by more interesting projects), make sure that these relevant coursework stay relevant for ALL job applications you put in there -- make sure to tailor it so you don't end up saying you worked on mobile computing when the job description asks for knowledge in JWT or something

    6. Personal Website/Portfolio

There's less value in putting your portfolio website as part of your project list since there's a dedicated free space you can put in your header. I'd probably look to replace this one for some other interesting project.

    7. Full-Stack Developer Intern

Don't really see the value of saying Full-stack developer here when the previous wx title was Software Engineer Intern, so I'd probably choose one and keep it for consistency. My bias would be Software Engineer Intern since it looks like you are doing more backend stuff.

    2. Sep. 2022 – Sep. 2025

    3. OpenAI’s GPT API.

    4. AI Voice Assistant ‡

    5. $90 monthly cost savings.

    6. d facilitatingclear communication among 20 team members during daily SCRUM meetings

    7. Extended and debugged key features like real-time notifications and reporting, improving accuracy and speed.Automated workflows to cut client processing time by 25%, saving 10 hours per week per client

    8. Additionally, implemented end-to-end tests with Cypress to ensure robust user flows.

    9. powerful features for the clientsquickly and flexibly.

Delivered X features to empower Y for clients, enabling RESULT

    10. resulting in significant time and cost savings

    11. user response time by 30% and increasing engagement by 20%

    13. May 2024 – Aug. 2024 / Jan. 2025 – Apr. 2025

    1. Developed and maintained backend processes using Python, SQLAlchemy, and Marshmallow for schema validation, and implemented asynchronous task management with Celery.

Developed a schema validation service with SQLAlchemy to reduce operational pain in manually approving database changes, saving $[x] for the company every year.

    2. Experience

    3. Projects

    4. VP Internal Sep. 2022 – Aug. 2024Association of Korean-Canadian Scientists and Engineers Halifax, NS• Organized monthly networking events to connect science and engineering students with alumni.• Managed financial statements for the Atlantic region of AKCSE using Excel to budget for future events.

    5. Worked with end-users and the development team to include new ideas and feedback in the app’s development.

    6. Created REST API wrapper on C# and MS PowerApps to decrease database querying costs by 45%.

    7. Synthesized design documents through daily SCRUM meetings for project scoping and detailing technicalspecification.

"Synthesized design documents through daily SCRUM meetings" 가 뭔가 잘못된 것 같음.

Wrote design documents [FOR WHAT], scoping and detailing the project milestones and dependencies to help manage the workflow across [NUMBER OF TEAMS OR MEMBERS].

    8. Developed and migrated the company data-management software to an in-house ACOA File Plan Project, enhancing maintainability and facilitating efficient data management across the organization.

    9. Extended and fixed bugs in the production service to enhance functionality and optimize client workflows, ensuringimproved performance and a more efficient user experience.

    10. Rigorously tested and debugged the company codebase using Pytest, Jest, and Cypress, resulting in 100% coverageof edge cases.

    11. Collaborated with the development team using the Agile framework to deliver powerful features for the clientsquickly and flexibly

    12. Ensured seamless interaction between the tech stacks by writing and maintaining Vue.js codebases to deliver adynamic user experience

뭔 말인진 알겠는데 그 뽀인뜨가 살짝 아쉬워 - Ensured seamless interaction --> Action - between the tech stacks by writing and maintaining Vue.js codebases --> What you did - to deliver a dynamic user experience --> Result

여기서 내가 역으로 물어본다면 아마 제일 첫번째로 물어볼게 "What part of the codebase did you take the primary ownership of?" 이나 "What did you actually build with Vue.js?"

그럼 아마 "Ensured seamless interaction FOR WHAT EXACTLY using WHAT DID YOU DO WITH VUEJS EXACTLY to deliver a dynamic user experience".

    13. Developer Tools

    15. May. 2024 – Aug. 2024 / Jan. 2025 – Apr. 2025

May 2024 -> Apr 2025

    1. sub-500ms API response times during testing

sub-500ms can be either really slow or really fast all depending on context. For example, league of legends ping versus downloading a video. I would probably choose a different metric here so it's less confusing and more "wow"y

    2. University of Toronto
