Q: What types of dermal fillers do you offer?
A: At Rejuvenation NYC, we offer a broad range of dermal fillers that represent the latest in dermal filler technology. This enables us to provide the most ideal options to our patients. The fillers we offer include Juvederm, Voluma, Volbella, Vollure, Radiesse, Belotero, Restylane and Restylane Lyft.
Q: What do dermal fillers do, and what are the differences between them?
Dermal fillers are most often used to fill and soften the appearance of creases, folds or cheek hollows, giving clients tauter, younger-looking skin. Fillers can also be used to restore lost volume and shape areas of the face including the lips, jaw, chin, jowls and temples.
Different dermal fillers are better suited to different areas of the face and different forms of treatment. Based on your individual aesthetic goals (e.g., shaping rather than volumizing the lips), your practitioner will help you select the ideal filler and treatment plan for you.
Q: What is the price for each filler?
A: The price for each filler varies depending on the type of treatment being offered. Please call or email our office, and we'll help you discuss pricing and financing options.
Q: Can you use dermal fillers if you're pregnant or breastfeeding?
A: Unfortunately, patients who are pregnant or nursing cannot use dermal fillers.
Q: Is there anything I should do before or following my filler treatment?
A: The protocol recommended to prevent bruising from dermal filler injections is the same as for Botox. In order to minimize the risk of bruising, we recommend discontinuing any medications that can thin your blood (including Advil, Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Motrin, Aleve, and even vitamin E and fish oil), ideally beginning two weeks before your appointment. Acetaminophen can be used for headaches, pains and fever. Some patients also prefer to begin taking arnica montana, a homeopathic medicine believed to prevent bruising and swelling, a few days before their appointment. Dr. Philip recommends using strength 30C tablets, taking four tablets every four hours and allowing them to dissolve under the tongue. Arnica montana can also be used following treatment.
After treatment, patients should not lie down for five hours and should not place significant pressure on the site of the injections or exercise for the remainder of the day. The following day, patients are free to return to business as usual!
