As a researcher studying killer toxin, I have been waiting for a structural prediction based on AF2 (or AF3). However, the structure shown is that of the precursor, including the γ-peptide, so I request a structural prediction of the dimer formed after cleavage at the processing site, if possible. Of course, I understand that the precursor structure is also important, as the protein folds as a precursor before undergoing processing. I believe the SMKT in Figure 7 is the structure of the β-chain from the PDB, but I have confirmed that the actual SMKT forms a structure as an α-β dimer and that the individual subunits do not have a structure on their own. I thought this might be inappropriate for use in this figure.
