any Americans may think that the chaos of our time has been caused by the current occupant of the White House, and that things will return to normal whenever he leaves.
I agree with this, he has no censor which only fuels ignorance.

There were also some areas of convergence: Liberals, moderates, and conservatives were equally likely to prioritize economic prosperity, family, community, and the pursuit of health, happiness, and freedom.
It was interesting to know that liberals and conservatives share some common ground in some aspects such as happiness and freedom. But conservatives and liberals might have different definitions of what happiness and freedom means to them.
Liberals were more likely to raise themes of social justice, global inequality, women’s rights, racism, criminal justice, health care, poverty, progress, social change, personal growth, and environmental sustainability, whereas conservatives were more likely to mention religion, social order, business, capitalism, national symbols, immigration, and terrorism, as well as individual authorities and news organizations.
Their tweets represent the reality of what they believe, meaning that this research study was successful.
Research suggests that liberals and conservatives differ considerably in the prioritization of these values,
I agree with this statement that liberals and conservatives differ considerably in the priotization of these values. We studied this in a previous reading about ideologies.
The different nations added signature twists to the drink: Greeks make it with mastic, a plant resin; Croatians caraway seeds; Arabs infuse it with cardamom and serve it in small
The drink became so popular that there are multiple variations of it. I like the fact that every nation added their own twist to these drinks.
Coffee houses gave men somewhere to congregate other than in homes, mosques or markets, providing a place for them to socialise, exchange information, entertain – and be educated.
This is very similar to what we have today. This actually reminds me of places like Starbucks or Panera bread where people get their coffee or other beverages and hang out or do work. Could these modern establishments be influenced by this?
took her kahve with a glass of water and a square of Turkish Delight – which is how it is served in Turkey today.
It is inspriting to know that these early traditions are still being carried out today. Kahve definately plays a big part in this part of history. I wonder what are some small everyday things we do in this country that have more historical context behind it.
nst the Sultan; officials discussed court intrigue; merchants exchanged rumours of war. And the illiterate majority listened in
I noticed how it said illiterate "majority". These kahve shops also served as an outlet for those citizens who were illiterate to know more about social issues.
The first public coffee house, or kahvehane, was founded in Istanbul in 1555 by two Syrian merchants.
I feel like this was such a bold decision to make because some people were opposed to the drink. I wonder how society reacted to this?
In short, if a society approves of the exercise of power in a particular way, then that power is also legitimate authority.
This can also cause a problem is the society is moved to believing that something is right even when it's not
Depending on the society, they sometimes make these decisions solely to benefit themselves and other times make these decisions to benefit the society as a whole.
There has many many intances where a leader has made a decision solely to benefit themselves rather than society. People like this abuse their power and are not certified to lead.
All number checkers have their own methods, but I always number check on paper, crossing off each word and number in pencil as I confirm it.
I agree with this post because even using a computer can cause some technical difficulties. The old-school paper and pen is more reliable in my opinion because it is done manually and requires more focus.
If the research is based on a secondary source, such as U.S. Census Bureau data, the number checker will need to verify that the correct file was downloaded and review or replicate the author’s analysis.
I respect the depths that the number checker goes just to ensure quality research. Secondary sources must always be fact checked before usage.
A new state law went into effect on Tuesday, requiring local police departments to notify the Texas attorney general every time a law enforcement official injures or kills a civilian in a shooting.
I was surprised to learn that a new state law went into effect, requiring local police departments to notify the Texas attorney general every time a law enforcement official injures or kills a civilian in a shooting. I believe that this should have been a requirement since day one. Failing to do so gives the police too much power, and I feel like the fact that they were not required to do so made them above the law

“I’m deeply concerned with what the numbers show,” congresswoman Karen Bass said at a press conference, alongside Harris. “The disproportionality that the [attorney general] referred to is frightening.”
As a congresswoman, I would be deeply concerned also. My question is, what does she plan to do moving forward? Were there any new laws or bills proposed to do something about this frightening matter? Especially since she is running for president.
