    1. it is silent and at nine years old I transform into things I have never been before

It appears that Phil is at ease with everything and feels as if nothing could get in between him he's just chilling.

    2. We are little kids that just watched Indiana Jones and so we find some old bungee cords

This is a comparison of how it was back then vs nowadays which has changed a lot especially since technology has advanced and we have all sorts of different apps like Tiktok, instagram, twitter, and etc.

    1. Just like the dinosaurs gave way To mounds and mounds of ice.

I love whenever the author includes this line about Dinosaurs because it's a great way to portray to us as readers how the world is shaped and form each and every different generation there is.

    2. Women will still be women, but The distinction will be empty. Sex,

After rereading this I have now looked closely as to what the author is trying to point out to us which is that Women are only good for sex and nothing more to our society which I find very false and offensive because we all have a purpose on this earth and serve many different kinds of things and events.

    1. Be perfect, make it otherwise. Yesterday is torn in shreds.

The author is trying to get her point across that yesterday isn't a given and that you should always make today count cause you never know when your time on earth will end which is why it's important to live in the moment and not the past.

    2. Hear bones crack and pulverize. Doom creeps in on rubber treads.

This line is symbolizing that the older you get the more you have to put up with as a person and that your responsibilities will never end which is why you should enjoy being young while you can. this also could be the author expressing her sense of fear about her being an older age then she once was before and how it's creeping up on her overtime.

    1. A red metal imp hangs from the green-painted front door, as a knocker, do not touch it; it will bite your fingers. Walk through the house. Take nothing. Eat nothing.

It's almost as if the author wants us to see things in the immortal world vice versa from the human reality world as not fearing creatures when you run into to them but rather get to know them and communicate with them and not being polite by knocking on doors but come in uninvited which really has you thinking about whether or not this at all is a game and they want to see who will be the brave one and enter through their world and how far they can push them till they give up on trying.

    2. If an eagle gives you a feather, keep it safe.

I could be wrong about this but it seems to me that the author put this sentence in here to get across to the reader that it's important not to go behind one another's back and cheat because eventually what goes around comes around and if you go out of your way to do such bad things it will all add up at the end of the day and eventually end up hurting you dearly in the long run.
