    1. For Fairfield University alum Sam Tooley, CEO and Co-Founder of Alpha Fit Club, fitness is more than just a hobby or a healthy habit. It’s a lifestyle.

Not a narrative lede but effective. It probably suits this short profile better but cutting right into the story.

    1. Did you see any noticeable changes in customer habits? For example, spending differences, attitude adjustments, etc.

I am a little worried about the length of the survey, which may discourage people to respond. Try to cut down the number of questions by at least 1/3. Some questions can be used in an interview.

    2. When the pandemic was first announced, how did your business adjust to the quarantining and social distancing protocols?

I think a question about the various challenges during the pandemic may have a place in the survey.

    3. Email

Since the form asked for personal/business info, I'd encourage you to make this survey anonymous. You will probably get more responses that way. The purpose of the survey is to get the bigger picture, whereas individual experiences can come from interviews.

    1. got behind on its taxes in part because it spent $5 million on specialized farming equipment in March 2020 and has not been able to use it.

This is why the question is something that the data cannot provide an answer to.

    2. “Essentially, they’re benefiting from taxpayer money without contributing to the system,”

The first expert chimed in to offer an opinion on the data analysis.

    3. Nanda confirmed that both entities are operated by the same ownership.

Again, this is an example of data interviewing the subject for more stories.

    4. This $1.2 million gap between owed taxes and payment is the largest gap identified by the analysis.

      Multiple data sources and cross-referencing

    7. Those seeking Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) money, another SBA program, had to provide tax information to get the loan. But PPP loans didn’t have the same requirements.

Background research that adds context to the story

    8. At least 161 Colorado companies and individuals who owed millions in back taxes still qualified for federal pandemic relief loans, a 9Wants to Know investigation found.

    1. increase

This is a leading question, even though it may be true to most people. Try: How did the pandemic impact the time spent on social media. Many respondents may have quantify their pre-pandemic social media time and give you an accurate comparison. I'd suggest offering the options like. A. It considerably shortened my social media time. B. It slightly shortened...C. There is little impact, D. It slightly increased...E. It considerably increased...

    2. How much time do you spend on social media

People tend to underestimate their social media time when asked to estimate a daily average. Another issue with the question is that no time period was given. People can estimate on last three days, last six days, or last two weeks, all of which may vary greatly. A more accurate way to ask this question is: How much time did you spend on social media yesterday?

    3. Email

Most people tend to shy away from online questionnaires that ask for names and email addresses. I'd encourage you to think about how important the two things are to your story. I am not suggesting that you can't do it. Just be aware of the drawback.

    1. As results of this study indicate, educators would like to include more critical and historical context but clearly have to deal with practical limitations to the distribution of credits in generally 120-credit undergraduate degree programs and requirements beyond the journalism program in today’s multimedia industry.

J programs have been scrambling to find space to accommodate more theory and practice courses that speak to the multimedia industry.

    1. Tiantai Buddhism (Zhiyi, 538-597 C.E.)

It's surprising that Jingtu Buddhism and the Zen tradition are not covered because they are far more impactful than Tiantai.
