I am not surprised at all by this comment . I have noticed that many people often believe right away what they read or see without analyzing or evaluation the issue or what we heard in on their own in order to form a judgment .

I agree with this. I never understood why attempts to damage famous or expensive/historic paintings are the number one to go when trying to advocate climate change or things of that sort.

Ethics provides a foundation for what teachers should do in their roles and responsibilities as an educator. It is a framework that a teacher can use to help make decisions about what is right or wrong in a given situation.
I think it is important to have a foundation for us teachers to refer to in order to help lead us in the right direction to make the "right" solution. This is important because sometimes teachers make connections with their students or have certain feelings towards an individual due to there behavior or whatever it may be which can hinder there decisions making. So it is important that we do not let our feelings get in the way of our decision making but rather rely on the ethics of the situation.

the percentage of American public school students who are low income has been rising steadily since the foundation started tracking the number in 1989.
It astonishes me how there has been no decrease in public schools going falling into the low income category but instead has been rising for years.
