"I hope I have enough students to make two hockey teams. Maybe enough to fit the Bell Centre," he joked.
It would be cool if they played hockey together!

Two years ago, shortly after the minister moved to Montreal, he and one of his students decided the university should offer the opportunity to study whether the Canadiens are, in fact, a faith.
What have they placed their faith in specifically? How can you place your faith in what you see? Is that faith?
Worshipping
To worship a sports team is crazy to me
The Richard Riot is generally considered the firstexplosion of French-Canadian nationalism, the beginning of asocial and political dynamic that shapes Canada to this day. Theriot was a harbinger of the 1960 election of Quebec premier JeanLesage, which gave Francophiles a greater sense of empowerment, and the so-called Quiet Revolution, in which French Quebecoisbegan asserting greater control over their lives.
There are not many events in history that have been described with this high of implications.
No athlete has embodied the soul of a city and the spirit of itspeople as Richard did in the 1940s and '50s in Montreal, my homefor the past 21 years.
High praise for someone!
And that was just the beginning.
I love what the author did here
Incensed, Richard swings his stick with two-fisted fury at Laycoe. He hits him with such force across the shoulders that his stick splinters. Laycoe sheds his gloves and rushes at Richard, who drops his gloves. The two thrash at one another with their fists.
The part of Hockey that makes it way different than any other sport
The 12,023 fans brace themselves.
Crazy how sporting events have grown so much!
Since then, larger thinkers on the Quebec scene have argued whether this was the beginning of Quebec's Quiet Revolution
Its crazy that a hockey game is thought to start a quiet revolution.
137 arrests
Thats a lot of arrests!
Conspiracy theories
I love conspiracy theories!
On the plank walls of the house were pasted old newspapers, and calendars hung there such as the manufacturers of farm implements or grain merchants scatter abroad, and also prints of a religious character; a representation in crudest colour and almost innocent of perspective of the basilica at Ste. Anne de Beaupre—, a likeness of Pope Pius X.; a chromo where the palely-smiling Virgin Mary disclosed her bleeding heart encircled with a golden nimbus.
These texts were so important to them that they put them on their walls!
her spirit was possessed with something of a mystic's rapture.
Why do they chose to describe this in this way?
"Ninety thousand," said Lorenzo with a little affectation of modesty
I wonder why he said it with "little affectation of modesty"
Christian savages
These words dont seem to go together
Savages
This word has a very different meaning here than it does now. Interesting to see how the language has changed with slag words.
He who consoles the lowly
Jesus is gentle and lowly in heart (Matthew 29:11)
Generally speaking they praise an approve the Christian Religion, and blame their wicked customs; but when will they leave them off entirely?
This question is very confusing to me, what is the author asking?
I cannot tell you the satisfaction and consolation these little children give us. When we consider their Fathers, still plunged in their superstitions, although recognizing sufficiently the truth, we are afraid that God, provoked by their sins, has rejected them for a time; but, as for the children, without doubt he holds out his arms to them and draws them to himself. The eagerness they show to learn the duties of a Christian keeps us from doubting it.
An interesting picture of "child like faith" that we see talked about in the bible. Regardless of what their parents believe, the children choose to believe.
Among other things which made them acknowledge the truth of one God, Creator, Governor, and Preserver of all things, was the illustration I employed of the child conceived in its mother's womb.
Seems as though this was not forced but rather a choice based on discussion and evidence provided
