    1. “Although some have tried, there is no rationale, no explaining away Kanye West’s rants on social media for anything else than what they are: vicious antisemitic statements that pose a clear and present danger to every Jewish person,” said AJC CEO Ted Deutch.

They used their own CEO's comments to help their point and they would be biased in order to help the website grow and gain support.

    2. Jones, a far-right conspiracy theorist who has been ordered to pay parents more than a billion dollars for insisting the massacre of their children in one of America’s deadliest school shootings was a “hoax,” pushed back on West’s praise, but made references to the “Jewish mafia."

Alex Jones a talk show host who they make sure to mention on the far right of the political spectrum is a guy they use as an example of other people using this kind of language.

    3. “I prefer my kids knew Hannukah from Kwanzaa. At least it will come with some financial engineering.”

This article is cherry-picking quotes that sound bad from Kanye West but do not include anything that may shed light on a different side of him.

    4. While antisemitism comes from a variety of sources including white supremacists, Black supremacists, and religious extremists, the rapper’s antisemitic slurs seem to run the gamut.

The article tries to address a trend of antisemitic comments being used by all kinds of people no matter their race or background.

    5. 5 of Kanye West’s Antisemitic Remarks, Explained

No author is listed on this article which is concerning but the website is supposedly a voice of the people but it does not have any poll information or anything.

    1. These numbers reflect Americans who say they’ve heard about Kanye’s comments; 72% said they’ve heard about them and only a quarter said they’ve heard “nothing at all.”

So only about 700 of the 1,000 people had even heard the comments so it's a good thing they interviewed 1,000 people because that would really skew their results

    2. 1,015 adults reached on landlines or cellphones by a live interviewer.

A rare way to interview and get good results in this day and age because of the way we often hang up on interview/toll calls.

    1. 1000 US adults interviewed September 1-2, 2015 on videos of Kanye West.

Important to know how many people were surveyed and this number gives enough people to get valuable results and not too big to where it is too wide of a net for opinions.

    2. YouGov/Huffington Post

YouGov is a reputable market research company with a global community of over 24 million members. Users have reported positive experiences with YouGov, finding the surveys worthwhile and the rewards fair. The company has a strong reputation in the market research industry and is known for interesting survey topics.

    1. But years later, he continued to tell friends and associates, including several Adidas employees, that Jews had special powers allowing them to amass money and influence.

This comment raises a lot of red flags and a lot of the quotes from Kanye in the article are very controversial with little regret because they are values he truly believes.

    2. But Mr. Rorsted, Adidas’s chief executive, batted the comment away. “Kanye has helped us have a great comeback in the U.S.,” he said on CNBC. He reiterated that position months later, telling reporters, “We’re not signing up to his statements; we’re signing up to what he brings to the brand and the products he’s bringing out.”

Adidas's chief executive statement is concerning with his disregard of Kanye's actions because he is just focused on business and making money.

    3. A year ago, after producing hundreds of shoe styles and billions of dollars together, Adidas broke with Kanye West as he made antisemitic and other offensive public comments. But Adidas had been tolerating his misconduct behind the scenes for nearly a decade.

Highlights that both sides could have made this situation better and each had some fault.

    1. Adidas was not the only company to sever ties with West over his remarks. Balenciaga and Gap also walked away from partnerships with the musician.

The article presents a victim stance for Adidas but when it comes to Kanye, we see them use different quotes to paint Kanye as an immoral person which is not necessarily wrong but very biased.

    2. The company denounced "antisemitism and any other sort of hate speech" during their announcement to terminate the partnership with West, who now goes as Ye.

Company is painting Kanye West solely responsible for this event even though he was a part of their clientele.

    3. CEO Bjørn Gulden said in a press release on Thursday that the company's termination of their working relationship with the rapper, 45, after a series of antisemitic comments in October is causing a "significant adverse impact from not selling the existing stock" of Yeezy inventory.

The CEO of Adidas issued a statement after the event and his goal was to protect the Adidas from the media slandering the brand.

This poll was done because the time proximity to the Halloween holiday. The reason it was conducted was to give people an idea of what may be popular and what may be overlooked by trick or treaters.

    2. Respondents to the survey said their ways of celebrating would include dressing in costume, handing out candy and decorating their home or yard.

Interesting that this article throws out all kinds of numbers such as spending on costumes and percentages of the survey/poll but we don't know the total of people who participated so how are we supposed to know this poll is reputable or randomized.

    3. the National Retail Federation

This is the group that conducted their survey and they are a group that does this same survey every year. They are a group that focuses on issues people have with the agenda of the world. They support retail business and find ways to help them thrive.

    1. those around the program believe that group’s work ethic and general fearlessness is beyond their years.

A rumor that if true could lead to a great season for Duke but we wont know if the rumor is fact until the season begins.

    2. It’s not the largest sample size in the history of sample sizes, but it did surprise me that Kansas only got two votes.

People see teams differently and value different attributes of what makes a team elite.

    3. Frankly, of the four top picks among our staff, I likely would have slotted the Devils fourth, leaning toward Michigan State

This is funny because Michigan State lost their season opener at home to lesser James Madison University

    4. Or, perhaps more accurately, The Athletic staff predicted who would win the men’s national championship in April.

This is an opinion article as different people working from the company predict based on who they think will be good, bad surprising, etc.

    1. The outside firm also presented to NCAA officials photographs of people investigators believed to be Michigan scouts in action — including current students interning with the football team. The photos showed these people seated at games of Michigan opponents this season, aiming their cellphones at the sidelines.

This scandal also has a massive impact on coaches, players, program workers, fans, and opposing players, coaches, and fans.

    2. Atop the list was Ohio State, Michigan’s top rival in the Big Ten, and scouts planned to attend as many as eight games, costing more than $3,000 in travel and tickets.

This is proximate to me being from Ohio and being an Ohio State fan because Michigan has won the last two years in The Game but have been cheating to do it so this has a direct affect on the game

    3. In total, those people said, Michigan’s sign-stealing operation expected to spend more than $15,000 this season sending scouts to more than 40 games played by 10 opponents.

This is an example of timeliness because not only has this been happening for a couple years but also has been happening already so far this year.
