He sings, “I changed a lot of girls lives for real, they need a new body, they hittin’ me, ayy (BBL Drizzy)/BBL Drizzy, they want a new body, they ask me for it (BBL Drizzy).” Drake also simply just raps over the track… What? No sax?

    17. Kendrick Lamar beef was the song “Like That,” from Future, Metro Boomin, and Lamar. On it, Lamar dismisses the notion that he’s in a “Big Three” with Drake and J. Cole, rapping, “It’s just big me.”

Key example of why it started

    18. Though the two artists have long been at odds

The author could have been more specific here with the time period since this dates back to 2012 when Drake and Kendrick were on songs together and friends.

    1. Kendrick Lamar's new song Euphoria is being branded a 'Drake diss track', with the name a reference to the HBO show the Canadian rapper famously co-produced.

Drake with a crazy claim stating that he manipulated Kendrick into thinking that he had a daughter on purpose to make him look like an idiot rapping about lies, but some fans think other wise.

    2. “‘Cause you lied about religious views, you lied about your surgery / You lied about your accent and your past tense, all is perjury / You lied about your ghostwriters, you lied about your crew members / You lied about your son, you lied about your daughter, huh / You lied about them other kids that’s out there hopin’ that you come.”

    4. The video for “Family Matters” also contains several subtle shots at Lamar, including a crushing of a Dodge Caravan that looks similar to the one owned by Lamar’s mother that was featured on the cover of “Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City.” Drake is also shown dining at New Ho King.

      Another important detail

    5. Ye — the controversial rapper formerly known as Kanye West — joined the fracas on April 20 by releasing a remix of “Like That,” which he later described as an attempt to “eliminate” his long-time nemesis Drake.

Another key background opinion from Kendricks fanbase

    7. Though Lamar has collaborated with both Cole and Drake in the past, he’s also taken shots at them — see Lamar’s guest verse on the 2013 Big Sean track “Control,” or his famous shot at Drake during the BET Awards that same year (“Nothing been the same since they dropped ‘Control’ / and tucked a sensitive rapper back in his pyjama clothes,” he rapped).

background before beef from April - May

    1. Michael Jackson’s mantle for having the most Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 songs, going as far as to hit the “Beat It” steps with a sequined glove in the video. Here, Kendrick finally, formally casts himself as direct opposition, ending his verse with a haymaker referencing MJ’s own longtime Cold War enemy: “Prince outlived Mike Jack.” Sheesh.

Kendricks reasoning to start the controversy

    1. has fundamentally changed the way we relate to pop stars; it’s what enabled the mindset by which fans feel as though they have a stake in their idols’ careers, be they rappers roasting each other or Taylor Swift roasting an ex.

In other words, to put the reader in the rappers shoes.

    2. The verdict was handed down early Monday by the self-appointed internet scorekeepers whose investment in the battle — as witnessed across YouTube, TikTok and every other form of social media given to feverish take-making — did as much as that of the rappers themselves to fan its flames.

      foreshadow towards biased

    1. With each replay, a growing number of musicians, athletes, and other big West Coast names — including YG, Steve Lacy, Russell Westbrook, Black Hippy, and Mustard — joined him onstage, in what looked like an Avengers ensemble of Drake haters.

      Very Controversial moment

    2. This time, A$AP Rocky got some punches in. On the song “Show of Hands,” he rapped “N—s in they feelings over women. What, you hurt or something? I smash before you birthed, son. Flacko hit it first, son.” This is presumably a response to Drake apparently dissing A$AP and his partner Rihanna, whom Drake previously dated, on his song “Fear of Heights.”

Another important incident when another rapper gets involved

    3. But at the end of the day when I listen to it, and when it comes out and I see the talk, that don’t sit right with my spirit.”

Moral obligation it seems like from JCole

    4. Cole throws shots at Lamar’s Pulitzer Prize-winning discography, calling his latest album Mr. Morale and The Big Steppers “tragic” and claiming his Grammy-winning sophomore album Good Kid, Maad City “put [listeners] to sleep.” He also promises to “humble” Lamar if “push comes to shove.”

Coles response to Kendricks "Big 3 line"

    5. he raps “Motherfuck the big three, it’s just big me,” renouncing his informal association with rap peers Drake and Cole. On the recent Drake song “First Person Shooter,” off his latest album For All the Dogs, Cole claimed on his guest verse that he, Drake, and Lamar are the “Big 3” of the current era of hip-hop.

      Important verse explained

    1. revealing Drake is a father

Forgot to include that drake mentioned in one of the songs while going back in forth that he did not have a daughter however, social media has speculated pictures of his daughter have been revealed and even personal profiles of her own. Some users also think that they even look similar.

    1. The interviews were conducted online and the data were weighted to approximate a target sample of Adults based on age, gender, race, educational attainment, region, gender by age, and race by educational attainment.

How was this survey conducted? How was the audience determined by poll makers and where did they open this poll at?

    1. rump come as he has struggled to connect with women voters and as Harris courts women in both parties with a message centered on freedom.

The author including Trump's struggle with women voters and Harris's focus on women's freedoms, the authors emphasize their goals within the larger electoral landscape. This relates Harris's criticism as a strategic appeal to female voters, highlighting her alignment with reproductive rights.

    2. Kamala Harris says Trump’s comment on women ‘is offensive to everybody’

The phrase “offensive to everybody” is a conceptual metaphor of inclusivity, implied as something universal, affecting all people.

  3. Oct 2024
    1. “It sucks,” linebacker Yaya Diaby said. “It sucks, but at the end of the day we have a division game coming up and that’s our focus.”

I like how the author is including different quotes from different players but I feel as if it should be cited when the quote was said and who gave the interview.

    2. “We don’t second-guess,” head coach Todd Bowles said. “We got our guys, we’re playing everybody we got. Unfortunately, he got hurt. We feel bad about that, but he’s a football player. He wants to be in the game like Baker (Mayfield) and everybody else.”

This was a good necessary quote to input as it sort of clears the air and sets a different perspective for me being the reader in the sense that the players wanna play and do their job instead of not playing. Although it would have been smart to take him out I feel as if this is the reality of the injury.

    3. The game was lost, the Bucs were just too stubborn to admit it.And because of that, the season may be lost as well.

Although realistically this is a fact it can also be viewed as an opinion since theres no factual way to tell if they could have had a comeback or be bad the rest of the season.

    1. Andrews, one of Baker Mayfield’s best friends, has his second touchdown in two games and his second of the year.

Why and how are they bestfriends? - would have been a nice inclusion

    2. Flowers limped off the field and didn’t return on the possession.

I feel as if the author could've had alot more detail in this article if it was not posted during the 2nd quarter rather the end of the game.

    3. It was Andrews’ 42nd career touchdown, setting a new franchise record. Todd Heap held the previous record with 41 touchdown receptions.

It would've been nice for the author to incorporate a year that the previous record was set in.

    4. The Ravens needed it, having fallen behind the Bucs 10-0. It could have been worse, but Tampa Bay had a Chris Godwin touchdown negated by a holding penalty on Tristan Wirfs.

This could be looked at as bias since Charean Williams says, 'The Ravens needed it" which comes out to be an opinion when in reality they really did need it to keep up in the game.
