Down the corridor, the locker-room door opens. Grant walks out, dressed in his uniform and tie, backpack over one shoulder, and turns into the restroom. 走廊尽头，更衣室的门开了。格兰特走了出来，身穿制服，系着领带，背包斜挎在肩上，随即走进了洗手间。A slow smile spreads across Blake's face.

A few paces back, three watching bullies fix their eyes on Grant's furious reaction.

Mason takes the bottle and towel in one hand. With Blake's back to Grant, Mason meets Grant's eyes and gives him a slow, provocative smile. Paige loses her footing and pitches forward, slamming full-body into Tessa's leather frame. The impact jars Paige's grip. Tessa lifts her chin with effortless authority.

Paige wrenches the phone back, fingers trembling as she hunts for unsend.

The kiss deepens. Paige's eyelids flutter shut, and Tessa's eyes close with hers, their breath colliding as Tessa leans in, pressing Paige deeper into the coats.

The closet door slams shut into total darkness, but no lock turns. Clothes hang all around. Driven backward into dense hanging coats and the drywall, Paige faces Tessa, pressed almost flush against her, breath shallow. Their noses hover centimeters apart. Tessa's hands hang free at her sides, while Paige's hands tremble between their bodies. Brooke stands immediately outside the shut door with the crowd.

Paige curves her lips into her signature smirk.

Cole slips inside without permission and eases the door shut behind him. It rests closed but unlocked, with no latch engaged. He stays just inside, between Evelyn and the exit, without approaching or touching her. Evelyn turns sharply toward him in her silk slip, the gown still hanging untouched on its hook.

Cole’s shoe scrapes the polished floor as his weight surges forward, breaking rank by half a step before he forces his boots to lock and clenches his fists behind his spine.

He lifts a trembling hand to the locked leather at his throat.

Cole lifts the collar with his own scarred hands, wraps the thick leather around his throat, and pulls the front buckle tight against his skin. His breath catches against her skirts as he seals the band.

Her gloved fingers trace the collar along his throat.

Evelyn stands in the center of the private room, holding the leash slack in her left hand and the remote primed in her right. Cole towers before her, the thick collar tight against his bronze throat. Behind him, the heavy playroom exit door sits closed and unlocked.

He's only there for security, Vivian. With the wedding this close, I don't want anything to go wrong.

GRANT WHITMORE  格兰特·惠特莫尔Completely. Her guardianship passes from Richard to me.

EVELYN  伊芙琳(meekly)  （温顺地）I'm sorry, Vivian. Good morning, Father. Adrian. Grant.

Miss Evelyn. Your father, Mrs. Sterling, Mr. Adrian, and Mr. Whitmore are already waiting in the main dining room. Please hurry.

Grant turns in his seat and narrows his eyes at the masked girl in the back row. No flicker of recognition. He gives a dismissive snort and lowers his paddle. Victor Kane slams his iron gavel against the steel railing.

VICTOR  维克多(ecstatic)  （欣喜若狂）Sold! Ten million, to the lady in the back row!

EVELYN  伊芙琳(soft, courteous)  （温和、有礼貌的）Ten million dollars, if you please.

VICTOR  维克多Five hundred, going once… going twice—

GRANTFive hundred. For the stray.

masked Grant Whitmore lounges among his friends and lazily lifts his wooden paddle.

ATTENDANT  等待中Back away! He’s locked on!

EVELYN (V.O.)  伊芙琳（画外音）Hold him until he breaks.
