Variability is the rule, not the exception. Students may need to learn in different ways, using different materials, and share what they have learned in different ways to reach the same goals.
Variability is basically multimodal education. I've been learning about this a lot this semester and have come to realize the importance of it in the classroom for students' benefits.
Design justice, meanwhile, is design work that centers and prioritizes people who have been marginalized by design.7 Design justice advocates ask us to recognize how designs exclude or even exploit some people and communities, and it challenges us to approach design with a focus on justice for those people and communities.

As educators, our goal is to teach students, not just by transferring knowledge to them, but by creating meaningful learning experiences that support their knowledge and skill development.
This reminds me of when I was in elementary school. I would always ask my teachers why we were learning something and why it is important. I think it is important for teachers to be able to educate their students on things by doing more than just lecturing and relaying information.
Cognitivism describes how learning happens through thinking, organizing, storing, and retrieving information
This is important because all people have a different way of learning that is best for them. Some are visual learners, some are hands on learners, etc. I think it's important to incorporate multiple forms of cognitive learning into the classroom.

I've heard this phrase many times before but never truly understood it until taking this course.
Teachers should ensure that students understand the consequences and outcomes they could experience when using assistive technologies in order to protect their privacy and data.
I've never had a teacher do this until this class!
When users return to the design after a period of not using it, how easily can they reestablish proficiency?
This is a really important factor. There have been many times where I used an app or tool and after a while have gone back to use it again but completely forgot how to use it. It can be very frustrating especially if there isn't a tutorial on the tool.
This means that students, regardless of the mobile device they choose to use, should be able to access and interact with the tool either through the download of an application ("app") built for their OS or through the browser.
I tend to forget that not everything works on phones that aren't iPhones, such as androids or Samsungs. This is an important factor that should be considered so that everyone has access to these tools no matter what phone they have.

I noticed that this article is referencing the POUR acronym which is super interesting since more and more people are being educated on it!
Remember, video captions benefit everyone: "Captions are particularly beneficial for persons watching videos in their non-native language, for children and adults learning to read, and for persons who are D/deaf or hard of hearing"
I have a friend who is hard of hearing. Since I became close with her, I'm so used to putting on captions for her and noticed that it helps me out too. I highly recommend using captions even if you don't think it will help you!
Sharing Work With Others is Easy
I've been using canvas for a while now and had no idea that I could share it with others so simply. I will definitely be using this tool to get feedback from others when I create things in the future on Canva!
How ever you approach your PLN you must keep the key principle in mind; it needs to be Personal. The way you choose to build your PLN, the connections you make, the ideas you explore, the resources you share need to be relevant to you and should connect with your interests, expertise, passion and learning goals. If you are not finding value in your PLN, change it.
I feel like this is a very important factor in developing my PLN, yet I tend to forget about it.
