    1. So there can be inequalities as well across class, across gender, across religion, and across sexuality. One of the possibilities of having an E-country is that you can begin to look at ways of transcending those differences and trying to make social progress through integration.

      I think this is thought provoking because this writing seems to be suggesting that internet and technology can actually minimize inequality and progress towards a more just society. I think that this may be true to an extent but one could also argue the opposite that the online world keeps us further away from physically interacting with one another and therefor gaining real-time, in person experience which is optimal for learning and being more open-minded. I do however think technology can be utilized to help speed up this process.

    2. I think the most important thing here is that all Estonians have strong digital identity. What it means is that if they give digital signature, it's equal with a physical signature together with an outro. Having that kind of ability means that you basically can do everything on the internet.

      How the digital world, such as AI, can be used to our advantage rather than something to be ignored and or scared of. In this way Estonia uses "digital identity" as a technical tool used to authenticate people and systems.

    1. Too little order and organization may result in chaos, dissatisfaction, tension and vulnerability to outside pressures. Too much order may result in an authoritarian system that requires rules and regulations, suppression, surveillance, and "brainwashing". Communes have been criticized for both.

      There needs to be some forms of regulation or loose rules set in place, in terms of what is deemed moral vs immoral, and also to make sure corruption does not take place. The struggle is that there can be chaos and corruption actually seen in both, as this sentences is eluding.

How to get the work done, but without coercion; How to ensure that decisions are made, but to everyone's satisfaction; How to build close, fulfilling relationships, but without exclusiveness; How to choose and socialize new members; How much autonomy, individual uniqueness and even deviance to tolerate; How to insure agreement and shared perception around community functioning and values.

      Interesting two statements, analyzing how a successful community is not necessarily collectivism or individualism by itself but a balance between the two cultures. To where people have their own individualistic expression while still thinking about the good of the greater whole.
