    1. The user friendly part reminds me of the topic we have during class about whether Apple really pays attention to user experience or not. Many students including professor complain that Apple does not do user test which lead to bad user experience for iphone, iwatch, etc. However, I think what apple is doing now is about the future, they want to apply new technology into product and change people's behavior instead of adapt to it. Like Alan Rath's C-Clamp literally face, although it is in a uncomfortable way, it is still a good try for a new kind of interface. What Apple does is far more better than that, it let us communicate with machine in a totally new way so actually we are tester for people in future.

    1. In thoughtful reflection part, the author talk about the sense of Flow. As I understand, flow is the process that people believe in what they do and create a design with innovation. For beginners, this process can be painful because there could be self doubt and back and forth. Sometimes when I am in a design process, most of time I just read papers, try to get a clear thought and try to combine all the aspects I think of. Most of time I struggle with myself, after reading this, I now realize it is a common thing for designers, it doesn't mean I am not a good designer.

    2. For contextual inquiry, the article said that it is worth waiting for consumer using the machine. However, how should we select consumer will be another question. In that situation, we can only sit there and wait for someone to use it, maybe all of them could be women or children, we could not use that data to get any report or conclusion. Although context is really important, we should also keep that kind of problem in mind.

    1. Later thinkers began to realize that individual reasoning is not always enough to identify and find alternatives to common cultural, social, or political assumptions.

This reminds me a research in landscape design, which is how to evaluate people's reaction to different landscape with wild scene or urban scene. People from different culture, society will have different reaction for sure, but we still can see something in common that they all appreciate canopy without shrubs under them. It is a new finding that people even themselves don't realize it, researcher need to use technique to record their brain reflect to do this. So some times, how people say or how they reflect to a certain thing is not true. We need to dig more into it. The basic hate-and-love things maybe common around world.
