      If I could design a new social media site, I will target the gaming industry. I would create a site that allows people game online through the site. This save people money and time to download certain apps.

    1. While public shaming has always been a part of human culture, the Internet and social media have created new ways of doing so.

      No matter what kind of shaming is taken place on the internet, it is highly unacceptable. The internet is no free land, there are certain rules and boundaries to follow too.

    1. In this view, a good parent might see their child doing something bad or dangereous, and tell them to stop.

      I am taking a course in Early children education this quarter and found the it is totally true kids may be shamed of what they did. Instead adult would want to use gentle words and teach them that is not the right thing to do.

    1. A crowdsourced question and answer site specifically for programming questions.

      Stack Overflow is a great platform for answering technical questions. Not only does programming questions get answered, but also advanced mathematical questions get answered. Sometimes even though the questions are not solved some guiding idea will be discussed. It is an great example for crowd work platform.

      I believe Wikipedia should set a test for basic background knowledge on the content one is trying to edit. This way it can successfully prevent those who are just fooling around. Also, they could a job position that checks for an edit before making the actually change to the webpage.

      This gives a certain freedom for individual to do, but there are boundaries. For example, one must still follow the guidance of the platform in order to make meaningful posts that would not be take off.

      What are some punishment for those who violent the rules of the internet? Is the internet a place out of law where anything can be posted without anymore punishment then taking down the content. Will the police interference and track down the user who is breaking the rules?

      Is there a certain boundary in terms of freedom? Is this mean that people who believe in natural rights think they have absolute freedom so that no restrictions are needed?

      I think one of the most important responsibilities is that to make sure to not recommend misleading information. Social media is a place for entertainment but also their should be boundaries.

      Professional Basketball player Kyrie Irving also followed the Flat Earth Movement while many other players agreed with Kyrie. However, I believe that science can be questioned but we also must accept scientific evidence.

      From this example it shows that the importance of connection. New ideas can be developed while more people share their creativity. As an result, our internet keeps from advancing.

      Memes can spread at a unbelievable pace. For example, whenever there is a new meme, before I even realized that it is spreading, it is all over the internet. I wonder if people can take this as an advantage of this behavior and spread some new ideas to the society.

      As technology keep advances, the quality of human living conditions also advances. I would be excited to see when someone is in danger, there phone can auto call for help in the future.

      I have never thought about the idea of temporary disabilities. I thought these were injuries and tend to forget that it is definitely a type of disabilities. I believe it is important to raise awareness to the different types of disabilities in order to increase convenience.

      Security is very important. There might be hackers from all over the world trying to take an advantage. It is important for all companies to make sure their security defense is strong enough.

      This is extremely important because it save a lot of redundancy. We want to keep things as clear as possible. The benefit is that it increases efficiency and reduces the work of the computer.

      I understand the purpose of this warning is to be more careful on internet. But how can we systemically identify every troll. I believe internet safety is very important and should be given a formal internet safety lesson before people start to use the internet. The internet is full of traps, everyone should be more careful.

      I believe the behavior of trolling is build upon the freedom of internet. Behind the internet one can be whatever they wish to do. One can fake any identity they wish to have. Some may use it to trick others for money, others may just want to satisfy their vanity.

      I would disagree because I believe we need to define what inauthentic mean. If someone has a certain personality that rarely shows to others than showing it does not mean inauthentic. It is actually being real. In my personal opinion, what we need to think about is when to question authenticity and should we question it under any cases. We want to care about authenticity we also should not overreact and be too sensitive.

    2. But at the end of the day, it is still hugely important to us that we feel clear about who can be trusted, and for what.

      Trust is an important concept in our everyday life. People do not buy things expecting to be deceived. However, the internet is a place where both the real and fake intersects. How to identify the real portion of the internet is a skill everyone should learn. It is also why authenticity is such an important topic.

      One situation I can think of is to redefine what 1 apple means. Maybe forming a specific unit apple can make thing more fair. However, I also believe in reality there is not absolute fairness. People must understand and fit in to unfairness. Connecting to data, to some people data are more useful than to others.

      Our world is made with data, data certainly is a simplification of reality. The range of data is extremely large, it collects information from all position and making our lives more convenient.

    1. Bots, on the other hand, will do actions through social media accounts and can appear to be like any other user.

      Although the bot appears to be like any other user doing actions, human are very smart and often able to identify which accounts are bot. I wonder how can people who are making bots optimize so that bot account are less obvious to identify.

    1. Does the fact that it is a bot change how you feel about it’s actions?

      The situation depends on what content and how closely the bot is providing information. Also, it could be biased. If people say something they disagree on and found out it is a bot making the post, people will feel the post is less reliable.

      I agree with the idea that internet isn't real life. Through internet people can communicate without knowing who the person they are talking to is. Sometimes people use this as an advantage so that they could say anything on the internet. When people fall into the hole of thinking internet is real life, some would use it in a negative way and cause harm to others. So I certainly believe that the phrase serves as a warning sign for others to not lost themselves through using the internet.

      Some other significant ethics I can think of that is related are Buddhism and Hinduism. Both ethics have the theme of being and becoming a good person. The idea of karma both comes to picture where doing good things is being pursued.
