    1. Storms and Serenity 1 0 1 This poetry book is very dear and personal to me. It involves the ups and downs in my life, as in the rage and calmness and what I took from these experiences.

Writing that has deep and personal roots associated with it are really effective in terms of persuasion and attention. Users such as readers and other writers can easily relate to personal/real-life experiences, especially when such situations are crafted in a creative, poetic way that people cannot help but fall in love with. Such things attract a great audience and bring the author immense love and respect, and possibly friendly relationships as well. It gets their writing known better too,

    2. Deeper Into Dreams

Like every book on Wattpad, there must be an attractive cover, title, and summary that draws the attention of readers and writers. Otherwise, they would not read it.

    3. @yashwrites_

The background image, like the profile picture, speaks a lot about the user's character/likes/hobby/personality, so one must be careful when choosing for this.

    4. Yash

As for the profile picture, some Wattpad users prefer not to upload a picture of themselves, and so they upload an image of something they really like, or something that speaks to them or "showcases" who they are as a writer/person.

    5. Blooming Storm

Since I already have two poetry books, I decided to include a book from a different genre. The more an author creatively alternates within genres, the more readers/writers it attracts, because people like to read a variety of things. They will fall in love with the writing style of one book, and if they really like that book, suggesting a similar genre book or a different book that the author thinks their readers will like is a good idea.

    6. Stories by Yash 3 Published Stories

If you are a writer, then it's great thing to post your stories on Wattpad, as this is the most important thing that attracts audience, and the author's audience depends on the content and quality of the books they post. If it's a common genre like Teen Fiction/New Adult/Romance/Horror/Mystery/Fanfiction (these are common to me on Wattpad) then the author will definitely get a lot of followers, views, votes, and comments! Maybe even attract readers who are new to the genre(s) the author would write in.

    7. 4 Reading Lists

It's a great idea to have personalized reading lists, and readers/writers find it really cool and interesting when you have similar book interests as them, so they follow you to discuss about the books you both like and this can develop into friendly relationships. Also, some readers might randomly stumble on your profile and look for something new and interesting to read, so it's always good to have book recomendations (and authors love it when they see their books in someone's reading list!).

    8. Following +10 +21 +20

It is important to follow other writers and Wattpad genre accounts to be notified of contests, writing tips, awards, or just to keep in touch with other writers, which may attract more readers due to the mutual followings.

    9. In a Book Universe

Some readers and writers on Wattpad do not include their real locations for privacy reason, so they come up with a fictional location to be creative, and to relate to other readers and writers, who, when reading this, will be like, "This is so me!" and follow the account.

    10. IMPORTANT NOTE: This profile is made for an assignment for a university course. Everything you see here is all for the assignment, including the books with "sample texts."

I put this important note here because I know people will try to follow this account and possibly check out the social media accounts and books, only to be disappointed because this Wattpad profile is only for school purposes, so everything is made up. This note is just so readers and writers do not get their hopes up high or get confused.

    11. Instagram: @yashwrites_Twitter: @YashTheWriterYoutube: @Yash

The more social media platforms mentioned, the better, since not all readers and writers have access to all digital cultures, possibly because they do not use some.

    12. You can follow Yash on her social media accounts to stay up-to-date with her writing and possibly catch sneak peeks!

Of course, authors will promote their social media platforms, but why should readers and writers follow when they are up-to-date on Wattpad? It could be to get to know the author better on their social media or to catch some sneak peeks and other important news and updates related/non-related to writing.

    13. During her free time when she is not studying or working, Yash enjoys driving around her small town and blasting music in her car, purchasing a pile of books and stocking up her home-library, working on swoon-worthy novels in a cafe while sipping iced coffee, or curling up with a book under the tall tree in her backyard.

I have seen a lot of Wattpad writers/authors include their likes and dislikes in their bio, and this attracts a great audience because they have similar interests, which builds connections and friendships.

    14. Recently, Yash has been affiliated with Wattpad to promote her writing further and possibly fulfill her dream of becoming a published author and working for HarperCollins or Wattpad.

I included this little paragraph to mention what the author would like to achieve and make out of her Wattpad journey, because when an author has their goal written down on their bio, it's really interesting to read for some readers and authors to read and help this author grow and reach their dream/goal.

    15. Yash is a Freelance Writer as well as a second-year university student doing her Masters in Professional Writing. At a young age, Yash loved reading poetry, horror, mystery, and romance. In 2014, Yash began to write poetry just for fun and promoted her writing on her Instagram account, which soon became popular with over 10K followers in just two years.

This is an introductory paragraph that outlines who the author is, what they do, and any major achievements they had. This paragraph is what brings readers in since it is the first paragraph that they read, so it's important how it's structured and written.

    16. @yashwrites_

I put down a creative yet simple username that puts the author's likes/hobby/something that describes them or relates to them. This is a simple username that readers and other authors on Wattpad can remember and easily look up anywhere.

    17. Yash

Considering this is a fake profile, I put a first name in the 'Real Name" section, since not all authors on Wattpad prefer putting their full names, so they include a nickname they're commonly called. This is how Wattpad users know the author, other than the username.

    1. So you mean to tell me a very mentally ill man with an abusive father snapped one day murdered his family and people think he was possessed? This is why the mental health sector is still so far behind the rest of medical science to many people who are SURE its supernatural when really reality is often scarier than make believe

This is a logistic appeal here because the commentor uses information/ideas that people these days believe in. The commentor makes a point that people often disregard mental health, concluding that the person is just mentally disabled in their heads, or believe it's some supernatural entity making the person behave oddly. However, in this particular video/case, this commentor doesn't seem to acknowledge the following incidents after the horrific night of the murder, and they're a clear sign of something beyond the human world.

    2. "One person of seven you meet is a psychopath": Family of seven: There is one impsotor among us

This comment is a pathetic appeal. It doesn't exactly appeal to one's emotions or persuades others, but it does appeal to a type of emotion: laughter/funny/humour. The commentor refers the Amityville incident to a recent popular game called Among Us, where there are a total of 1-3 imposters among a crew and the imposter kills other crew members, like betrayal. The pathetic appeal only works when someone knows about the game.

    3. Speaking from someone who lives 5 minutes away from the home in the hamlet over, it's so weird. It looks like just a regular weird home. Doors are all on the side, looks like a barnhouse. I never got spooky vibes from it, despite people saying it's haunted. It does become a interesting location during Halloween though, people just stand outside the house like it's entertainment. It's in the richer neighborhood of the town, so a lot of people go there for the good candy, and to just take a peak at the house. tl;dr, from my personal, local experience, I don't think that house is haunted. It's a location for a terrible tragedy. Makes a good ghost story though!

This comment is an ethical appeal. The commentor talks about their own experience with the house, as in how they live extremely close to the famous Amityville house. The commentor explains how it's like living near the house. This helps users get an insight of how it's like for a person to live near a house with a haunting reputation. The Amityville house has a tragic, murder past and it has been adapted into a book and film.

    1. writing can now use not only text, but various fonts, colors, pictures, gifs, videos, or audio to augment or otherwise affect the message.

Writing has really developed in its time, and it's actually fun to keep up with the new advances and different ways of writing on digital cultures!

    2. Make a Hypothesis (https://web.hypothes.is)

I am currently using the annotation tool extension, and I really like it so far! It's a great way to make in-text notes.

    3. Your first project for this class will require you to examine a particular digital culture you either are already a part of, or might like to join.

I am kind of confused over our first assignment, but it does sound interesting overall! I read over the instructions but not carefully, so I hope to make sense of it when I get the chance to properly look over it!
