Were you introduced to video games during a surge in popularity? What games appealed to you?
I got really into the early Call of Duties, GTA, and Madden when I first started to really gain an interest in video games and I believe the earlier versions of these games were really well made and popular in their time of technology.
Did you feel the effects of marketing campaigns directed at you or those around you?
When I was in elementary the DS was a very popular thing to have because it just came out and my friends would always talk about new games they got or even the different designs their DS's had, so I think that the people around me was a big influence.
How did your own experiences line up with the history of video games?
The first gaming system I owned was a game boy and my first game was Super Mario bros which was also a popular cartoon that I would watch so I think if the tv show wasn't a thing a probably wouldn't have had as much interest as I did.
