SOCRATES: I do not really know him myself, Euthyphro. He is apparentlyyoung and unknown. They call him Meletus, I believe. He belongs to thePitthean deme, if you know anyone from that deme called Meletus, with longhair, not much of a beard, and a rather aquiline nose.
cf. with Benjamin Jowett translation:
A young man who is little known, Euthyphro; and I hardly know him : his name is Meletus, and he is of the deme of Pitthis. Perhaps you may remember his appearance; he has a beak, and long straight hair, and a beard which is ill grown.
There is certainly a charge of "youth" in both translations, but the "beak" and "ill-grown beard" seem to be more belittling in Jowett which be ad hominem appearance attacks on Meletus of Pithos before we've even heard his argument.
