This is an importnat trial fo HZ/su, a a subunit vaccine containing varicella-zoster virus glycoprotein E and the AS01B adjuvant system. Post-herpetic neuralgic can be a disabling event in the elderly. This article was critically appraised at the August 2015 Geriatric Medicine Journal Club (follow #GeriMedJC on Twitter).
